~Trigger Warning~

As James' footsteps came closer, I knew I'd have to act quickly.

Kicking the ropes off my ankles, I revised my plan. There's no way I can make it look like I never escaped. I have to fight him off, and hope for the best.

"Jordan? You better not be asleep in there..." James cooed. "You know what'll happen."

Scurrying off the bed, I ran towards the door, quietly closing it. Using the little amount of strength I had in my body, I dragged the dresser in front of the doorway.

My knees quivered beneath me, my nerves made it seem as if the room was spinning.

"Jordan?"

I swallowed the gathering saliva in my mouth.

Someone needs to find me.

"Jordan," James repeated. The dresser budged forward a bit as the door tried to open.

Silent tears slipped past my eyes, my throat swelled shut.

"Jordan, open this door right now," James demanded, his voice harsh.

Pushing my back against the dresser, my sobs began to fill the room. I brought my shaky hand up to my face, to wipe away tears.

This is the end.

"OPEN THIS DOOR!" James shouted.

The door banged into the dresser, pushing the dresser a little back each time. He threw his shoulder into the door, pushing the dresser back even farther, pushing against my body.

"I'll kill you if you don't open this door," James hissed.

James threw himself into the door again, hurling my body forward.

I crawled to the opposite side of the room, sitting at the base of the bed frame.

"I love you, Tom," I whispered in the empty air.

"Jordan, open this god damn door!"

James bashed into the door again, causing it to open just enough for him to squeeze through the doorframe. He hurdled over the dresser, his teeth gritted together, sweat running down his face.

Jumping to my feet, I backed up until my back was pushed up against the wall behind me.

"Give me your arm," James ordered, fishing his pocket knife out of his jeans, a twisted smirk painted across his face.

"No," I sobbed, holding my arms against my chest.

He grabbed my left arm, pulling it away from my body. He pushed the blade against the infected cut already there. As he dragged it across, I screamed out in pain, watching the blood bubble to the surface. James let go, observing the fresh wound he had made. He reached out for my other arm, but I quickly slapped him across the face.

Taking my chances, I ran towards the door, flying down the hall. Stumbling into the kitchen, I grabbed the knife he had used to burn me, and held it out in front of me. James followed shortly behind, his pocket knife in hand.

"You've gotten yourself into more trouble, Jordy."

"Stay away from me," I warned, the blade of the knife shaking as my hands trembled.

James flipped his knife back, shoving it in his pocket.

"No problem," he smirked. "Now how should I kill Tom? Should I shoot him?"

"Stay away from him," I hissed.

"No, no, shooting him would be too easy. I think I'll snap his neck. It'll be torturous, of course."

James turned on his heels, headed for the bedroom. Running towards him, I jumped up on his back, wrapping my arm around his neck.

"Get off me!" he shouted, grabbing my wrist.

He ran back, slamming me into the wall. I yelped, clawing my nails into his face.

James grunted, before easily flipping my body over his shoulder. Pain ran up my spine as I gasped out for a breath. The knife I once held bounced onto the floor next to me. As I reached out to grab it, James stepped on my fingers.

I yelped out as I could feel my knuckles crunch together.

"Jordy..." he murmured. "I didn't think you were like this."

James picked up the knife, twirling it in his hand. I struggled to free my hand under his foot, but he swung it, kicking me in the stomach. I screamed out, my body crumpling on the ground.

James laughed, leaning down to sit on his heels.

I watched him clutch the knife in his hand, before burying the blade deep into my leg. I screamed out as the fiery pain erupted up my leg, fat tears running down my cheeks.

"You were perfect, Jordy," James whispered.

My back arched as pain overtook my body. I could hear myself pleading for mercy, but it didn't sound like my voice. It sounded distant and soft.

"Why'd you have to ruin it?" James asked, ripping the blade out of my flesh.

I could barley see through my blurry vision, my leg felt as if it was on fire. Dark circles swam in the corners of my eyes, white pinpricks of light scattering the floor.

I could see James' lips moving, but I couldn't hear any of the words he was saying. I clutched my thigh, feeling the blood soak through my jeans.

James' eyes were locked on me, but he took one quick glance up.

A loud shot rang out, as James fell onto the ground beside me.

Feeling a hand grab mine, I turned my head. A large man, with dark eyes hovered above me, his grip tightening around my hand.

"Mr. Maron!" the man's voice echoed through my head, his police badge reflecting light into my eyes.

I tried to speak. I tried to tell him to tell Tom I loved him. I tried to tell him to kill James, but I gargled on my own spit as I tried to make out the words.

"Jordan!"

The stranger kept yelling my name as I lied dying on the kitchen floor.
