I clenched my jaw together, a hot tear slipping past my eyelids. I listened to the crunch of my teeth grinding together.
That noise was the only thing keeping me alive. My vision kept blurring, my brain spinning. As soon as I let myself fall asleep, I'll stop breathing.
James pushed it too far.
My legs were burning, rustic blood escaped through the cracked skin.
James.
James is the enemy here.
I shouldn't have to remind myself of that.
James stole Tom from me.
No, Tom chose James.
Tom is the enemy here.
But what if James is lying?
Why would James lie to me?
He's a psychopath, he would do anything to manipulate me.
My heart was beating out of my chest, the walls closing in around me.
"LET ME OUT!" I yelled into the room. My voice jumped around the walls, filling the silence.
"OUT, I WANT OUT!" I screamed again.
James isn't the one killing me.
I'm my own killer.
I'm going insane.
I thrashed around in my chair, kicking my legs. The metal handcuffs dug into my ankles, the blood in my swollen fingers pounded against my veins.
"I want out..." I whispered, in defeat.
You can't leave.
You're stuck.
If you want out, you need to get out yourself.
No one will help you.
No one is looking for you.
No one loves you.
"Get out."
James won't let you out.
Ever.
You're never getting out of here.
This is your life now.
James will never trust you.
"GET OUT!"
I licked my cracked lips, hoping James couldn't hear my cries.
James will trust me.
I just need the right plan.

Hey Tacos, quick update here. I apologize this is a short chapter! I also apologize that I haven't been updating in a long time. I just wasn't happy with myself or with my writing, and I just needed some time to be alone, but being alone really wasn't helping. It was reading all of your comments and supporting words that reminded me why I loved writing in the first place, and why I love being me. Thanks for sticking with me, and I'll be posting more chapters soon.
