Meeting Thorin and Company

Cora's P.O.V

When Bilbo opened the door, we heard someone introduce himself.

"Dwalin, at your service." came the voice.

"Bilbo Baggins at yours." replied Bilbo.

The dwarf came into the kitchen,  not bothering to ask who we were, and started rummaging for food.

Pretty soon another dwarf by the name of Balin came in, helping his brother.

Kili's P.O.V

Fili and I finally got to the Shire, and knocked on the door with a mark on it. A hobbit opened the door. Of course a hobbit opened the door, this is a hobbit's hole, dummy. I though to myself.

"Fili," my brother started.

"And Kili," I continued.

"At your service." we chorused.

"No, no more dwarves in my house!" the hobbit replied angrily.

"Has it been cancelled?" Fili asked.

"No one told us!" I exclaimed.

"Cancelled? Nothing's been cancelled." the hobbit told us.

"Well that's a relief." Fili said, shoving his way through.

We walked in, and say Dwalin, Balin, and three strangers. Must be more friends of Gandalf. There were two girls and one guy.

Missy's P.O.V

When two other dwarves walked in, I instantly liked the black haired one better for some reason.

Cora's P.O.V

The four dwarves were preparing food, and then the doorbell rang again. Bilbo was not happy, and when he opened the door, a bunch of dwarves fell over, and Gandalf the Grey was standing behind them.

"Gandalf." was all Bilbo could manage to say.

All the dwarves were eating, and so were we honestly. Me, Missy, and Austin are bottomless pits when it comes to good food.

Then, the youngest dwarf walked up to Bilbo and asked, "What should I do with my plate?"

"Here you go Ori, hand it to me." said the brother with the black hair. He took it and threw it to his brother, who threw it to someone in the kitchen.

Bilbo came in to the table, and the other dwarves were clashing the knives together.

"Don't do that! You'll blunt them!" he exclaimed desperately.

"Hear that lads?" one of the dwarves teased. "He says we'll blunt the knives."

The black haired brother stood on the table and began a song that the others soon joined in on.

Blunt the knives bend the forks

Smash the bottles and burn the corks

Chip the glasses and crack the plates

That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!

Cut the cloth and tread the fat

Leave the bones on the bedroom mat

Pour the milk on the pantry floor

Splash the wine on every door

Dump the crocks in a boiling bowl

Pound them up with a thumping pole

And when you're finished

If any are whole

Send them down the hall to roll

That's what Bilbo Baggins hates!

We found it funny, and everyone was cheering until there were three loud knocks on the door.

"He is here." said Gandalf.

He and Bilbo left, and when they returned, they had another dwarf with them. He was the tallest of them all. He had icy blue eyes with no emotion showing, and dark hair.

When he sat down, they all began to talk.

"Who are these three?" one asked, gesturing to us.

"Yes Gandalf. Who are they?" the new arrival asked.

"That is a good question." Gandalf replied,  looking at us suspiciously.

I stood to introduce us.

"I am Cora, and they are Melissa, and Austin. We aren't from this world. We were exploring, found a cave, and followed it here." I replied.

"This is Fili, Kili, Oin, Gloin, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Balin, Dwalin, Ori, Nori, and Dori." Gandalf said.

"And I am Thorin Oakenshield, King Under the Mountain, son of Thrain, son of Thror." said the newcomer.

"Are you coming on our adventure to reclaim our home?" asked Kili earnestly, looking to Missy. I looked to the others, and they shrugged.

"Yes, if you will have us." I said. Balin produced three contracts, and we all signed.

When everyone was in the living room, Thorin started a song.

Far over the Misty Mountains cold,

To dungeons deep, and caverns old,

The pines were roaring on the hight,

The winds were moaning in the night,

The fire was red, it flamed and spread,

The trees like torches, blazed with light.

The song itself was haunting, but Thorin's voice matched it.

After that, all the dwarves picked spots to sleep in the living room. Missy, Austin, and I picked the hallway though, so we could talk.

"What do you think of these dwarves?" I asked.

"I think this adventure could be good for us." Austin said.

"I like Kili the best." Missy replied.

"Well, Thorin seems like he would be the one I would get along with best." I told them.

"Fili seems like he would be a good friend." Austin added.

"Well, we all should get some sleep." I said.
