Thorin's P.O.V.

Eventually, several months later, Cora was giving birth, and I was in Mirkwood, finalizing the treaty with Thranduil and his son Legolas.

Word of this did not reach me until two days after it happened, and naturally, I set off immediately.

When I got back to Erebor, I discovered one of the most shocking things in my life.

Cora's P.O.V.

Twins. Thorin and I have twins. One girl, one boy. It's a shame he is still in Mirkwood. They are four days old today.

Arwen, Lord Elrond's daughter, had just arrived yesterday to see them. Right now, she was watching them while i got something to eat at one of the local inns.

It wasn't that I had anything against our chef's cooking, I just haven't been outside walking around for the past week.

When i got to the tavern, the innkeeper immediately recognized me.

"Ah, your majesty, what can I get the brand new mother today?" he asked.

"Surprise me." I told him. By now, I thought, He should know that's what I will always say.

All the ladies in the town that were there at the time were coming over and asking what the gender of the baby was, because naturally, I was waiting for Thorin to come back before telling everyone.

"I'm sorry. I won't tell you anything until Thorin comes back. I think he, as the father, should know before the whole world does." I told them apologetically.

After that I headed back, and started thinking of names.

I took over for Arwen, and I was sitting with my legs crossed at the foot of our bed. The babies were laying in our bed, sleeping.

The past two weeks had been very tiring, since I was in labour for most of that time.

Suddenly, someone came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my shoulders.

"Thorin." I said softly, knowing exactly who it was. We had sent word to Mirkwood first, when the babies were born.

"Hello, love." he whispered, kissing my forehead.

"Twins. A boy and a girl."

"What should we call them?"

Hey, yet again, @Promise1982 is probably going to be the only one to comment, but what should their names be? I was thinking maybe Shimin and Shinia.
