Character Fails (Aang)

Yeesh.

The whole cast is truly a bunch of nobodies who can't act.

Let's start with the main man, Aang, shall we?

This kid looks like Aang somewhat but I'm not impressed with his tattoos. Its supposed to be a solid, blue arrow but it looks like some weird henna thing that looked really complicated to put on. In all honesty, a blue arrow would have been much easier to put on than a bunch of swirly designs.

Next order of business, they got Aang's character completely wrong in every way! Aang is meant to be this happy, playful, free-spirited kid, who is funny and adorable. Instead we get this pouty, dull boy who is not a lovable character at all.

He never laughs, plays with his airbending, or interacts with Momo and Appa, who look like Muppet rejects, by the way.

I hated the scene that followed finding him in the iceberg. Katara asks something like, 'How did you end up in that iceberg?" (She's really annoying. More on her later)

And Aang says, cheerfully,, "I ran away from home because I was angry. But I'm better now."

WHAT!?! No! Why did he nonchalantly say one of his deepest regrets to a total stranger right away? Aang was terribly ashamed for leaving so he didn't tell Katara until several episodes into season 1.

(Side note: After the Star Wars scroll,  the words, Book 1: Water, appeared. Its so cute that they thought they were going to do all 3 seasons. )

Oh! Here's the best part! They pronounce his name wrong. Instead of the long a sound, its Ohng or Awng. Like in gong or wrong. Ahhhng. Ugh, I'm bad at writing pronunciation's, can you tell?

How do you incorrectly pronounce the name of a character FROM A TV SHOW? They say his name a thousand times, how could you get it wrong???
