*KNOCK *KNOCK *KNOCK *KNOCK

I was currently refolding my clothes that I stuffed in my suitcase last night while I tried to rid my brain of any and all thoughts that concerned Luke.

"It's open."

I sighed, but my mood brightened as I saw Melinda come through the door with a smile on her face. She had on an orange sundress which was ironic, because it was still February, and the color was a little bright considering we were in Canada.

"Good Morning! I have amazing plans for us today!"

'How can she be so cheery this early in the morning?'

I had a headache, and all of the white and sunshine didn't help.

"Oh sweetie how about we go shopping today? Just you and I. Luke's birthday is the day after Valentine's Day and I need to get him a gift."

I smiled faintly, and nodded my head.

"Yea sure. Let me just go get ready, and I'll be in the living room in about an hour."

"Oh good."

She gave me a quick hug before scurrying out of the room in her 3 inch heels. I stepped into the bathroom, and took my hair down from my messy bun. It was partly curled so I left it that way, and I didn't see a need to wash my hair so I didn't.

I got in the shower and tried not to get my hair wet, and surprisingly I was successful. Going on a girl's shopping spree was just what I needed. To be away from the drama was something that I craved, so I was going to enjoy every second of it.

I got out of the shower and placed my hair in a better top knot to give my curls extra time to set before applying my light makeup.

I glanced at my features to see a hardened face staring back at me. My face had lost all of its warmth and softeness.  My eyes were red and puffy, I also had dark circles and bags underneath them which certainly didn't help.

I released a loud breath before groaning and splashing my face with cold water from the faucet to wake myself up a little more. I didn't plan on wearing makeup today because I had no one to get dressed up for, but I did because I didn't want to look like a walking zombie.

I did my brows, eyelashes, and concealer before putting on a light shade of pink lipstick. I put on a pair of white jeans, a burgundy crop sweater, and some black booties.

I grabbed my aviator sunglasses and placed them along with my new phone in my silver clutch that I carried last night, and grabbed the extra strap to turn my clutch into a purse. It would probably be a little chilly so I grabbed a crotchet sweater to put over it.
