Quote of the Chapter:
'Revenge never goes completely well. Someone always ends up hurt even if it was intentional, but sometimes you have to give a person a taste of their own medicine.'

Tears started immaediatley rolling down my face as the sight of them registerd with my conscious. Michael and Luke both ran to the same side of my hospital bed. Luke moved to the other side, and I could see the frustration on his face from Michael being there.

"How are you!"

"Luke, I can hear you." I chuckled causing his cheeks to redden. I loved seeing him flustered and embarrassed when he didn't know what to do.

"Oh...sorry."

He half smiled at me, and it grew into a sheepish grin. Michael cleared his throat. I had almost forgotten he was there. I looked over at him and noticed how much he had aged. There were bags underneath his eyes, and a slight mustache that had started to grow along his jawline.

"How long was I out for, you look old."

He laughed heartily, and bent over to kiss me on the forehead. Before he kissed me, he stopped suddenly and glanced at Luke and smirked.

"I missed you."

I blushed lightly and sat up. I felt uneasy and nauseous. I felt light-headed and my vision began to swirl. Almost instantly, both Luke and Michael, grabbed my back and head to lower me onto my pillow.

"Woah there princess, I don't think you are ready to sit up just yet."

Shudders went down my spine and throughout my body, when Luke called me princess. It reminded me of what he called me before I passed out. I went pale and started breathing heavily and taking only short breaths.

"Hey! Alex... Are you ok? What's wrong? Do you want us to call the doctor back in?"

My head spun around quickly to look at Luke. Tears swelled in my eyes recalling the memories of last week. I started shaking and my nose became stuffy. Luke ran his fingers through my hair and tried talking to me to understand what's wrong.

"What's wrong?"

"Is something hurting you?"

"Luke, did they catch the person that did this to me?"

I almost chocked on the last few words. The air in the room became thick and uncomfortable. We all stayed silent while they both tried to look for an answer that would make me feel at ease. Michael replied first. His voice cracked before returning to normal.

"Um Alex, do you know who did this to you?"

I thought really hard while trying to remember the events from that night. It came back in segments. Flashes. My palms started to sweat, and I felt my temperature rise.

I threw the covers off of my body. I almost expected to see steam roll off of me. My legs started to fidget and my hands started to twitch. Luke grabbed my hand, and rubbed his thumb along my fingers.

I gave him a small smile in order to thank him and looked at Michael. Looking at him made me feel safe, but in another sense I felt a surge of danger and anxiety. Luke, on the other hand, made me feel serene, because there was no question I would be safe a secure with him around me.
