Quote of the Chapter:
'Love me without restriction, trust me without fear, want me without demand, accept me for who I am.'
Alex's P.O.V'Oh my god. Come on, come on.'
I'd never been so nervous in my entire life. When Michael asked me out I didn't think it was a good idea and now I was completely indifferent.
For as long as I'd known him, every time we'd gone out on a date I had never been nervous, but now my stomach was in knots and my palms were sweaty. I hated this feeling, but I couldn't seem to feel more excitement run through my body as the seconds ticked bye until he came to pick me up.My hair was fully in curls down my back while a piece was twisted and pinned back by a diamond encrested hair clip. My makeup was normal except I was wearing red lipstick, and I put an extra layer of mascara on to emphasize my lashes. My dark blue strapless dress had a sweetheart neckline. It wrapped around my edges and curves perfectly and gave my butt and breasts the appearance of being fuller than they actually were.
My heels matched my dress except they were suede. Lastly, I wore a diamond pendant necklace that fell flawlessly around my neck. I stood in the mirror and grabbed my silver clutch and fiddled with my curls. My outfits never turned out the way I wanted them to, especially when I was going on a date.
"Hot damn girl!"
Danielle walked in and her mouth instantly dropped.
"What happened to that shy little girl that I once knew? Oh my baby girl has grown up so much!"
She began to wipe away her non-existent tears away from her cheeks.
"You are so crazy!"
"No. Seriously you look...beautiful. When does he get here."
"He should be here in 5 minutes."
I stood in the mirror and looked for any imperfections that I might have.
"Stop fidgeting you look perfect. Damn I wish I had an ass like that. Not too big, not too small."
I couldn't help but laugh. Danielle was the kind of friend every girl needed. She had your back and could support you in anything, but also knew when to slap you when you were being dumb. A few minutes later, I heard a knock on the door.
"Go to your room and come out. I'll get the door. You need to make an entrance."
"I don't think that's necessary. I just-"
"Now!"
"Okay, okay sheesh."
I scurried into my room careful not to trip on the rugs. I heard mumbling in the doorway.
"Hey Dani! I-is she r-ready yet?"
"Haha. You're nervous!"
"Psh. No I'm not. Okay. Maybe a little."
"I knew it."
I could tell it was getting awkward between them so I slowly turned the doorknob open and carefuly walked over to them. I looked up from my feet and Michael was as red as a tomato and Danielle was beaming.
