I woke up to the smell of freshly cooked French toast. My mom wasn't home, though...
Did someone break into my house?
I quickly ran downstairs at the thought.
"Surprise!" Shouted Hazel and Zack, standing behind a stack of French toast, pancakes, and waffles.
"You guys!" I shouted, "What's all this about?"
They smirked at each other.
"Nothing."
"Suuuuure..." I said diving into the waffles.
Zack gave me a cup of coffee and sat down next to me.
"Okay, so not exactly nothing", he said.
"What is it?" I asked.
"We may have... Kind of... Sort of... Made you an appointment," Said Hazel.
"What kind of appointment?"
"A hair appointment," Zack added in.
"But I just got my hair trimmed," I told them.
"Not that kind of appointment," Hazel said.
"I'm getting really confused so will someone PLEASE tell me what's going on?"
"Okay," Said Hazel, taking a deep breath.
"We made you an appointment at the wig store. You can find your perfect wig and then they will...."
"They will what?" I asked.
"They'll shave your head," Zack said.
"What?!" I yelled.
"Shave?"
They nodded.
"Today?"
"Wouldn't you rather have it shaved off instead of it all coming out over night?" Asked Hazel.
"Yeah, but it's all so sudden."
"You can wear wigs, hats, and anything else if your self conscious about it," said Zack.
"So when's my appointment?"
"In an hour," Hazel said.
I shiver ran down my spine.
"Okay," I said.
I finished my breakfast, then got dressed and did my makeup.
Zack drove us to the wig salon.
When we arrived, a lady greeted us at the door.
She had no hair and said that she has been battling cancer for six years.
We walked in and checked in.
