"Psssst! Mel!" I heard a voice say."What?" I whined, my eyes still tired.
"We have a surprise for you!"
"Can it wait?" I groaned.
"Not much longer," said a familiar woman's voice.
I lifted up my head.
"Mom!"
"Hi honey!" She said, giving me a hug.
"They released you!" I shouted.
"Sssshhhh!" Hazel whispered, "Zack's still sleeping."
I looked over at him.
He was completely passed out on the couch.
"Looks like you guys had a fun night," said mom.
"Yeah, we did," I replied.
"I love your new look!" She told me.
I had completely forgotten about my hair.
"Thanks!" I laughed.
We then got up and got dressed.
Then we walked down to the kitchen.
"So what do you think about coffee and lunch?" Mom asked, "And you can bring your friends along.
"That sounds great!" we said in unison.
We woke up Zack and told him the plan.
He then went home quickly to get changed.
"I texted Zack I said that we could just pick him up," Hazel said about ten minutes later.
"Okay," said mom, "I'll drive."
I grabbed a beanie, and we left.
When we arrived at Zack's house, I walked up to the door and knocked.
No one answered.
I rang the doorbell.
No one answered.
"Zack!" I yelled.
No answer.
I pressed my ear to the door to see if I could hear something.
I heard shouting. Lots of shouting.
Then I heard something shatter.
"Zack!" I yelled once again.
He came running out the door and into the car.
I followed him.
"Zack are you alri-"
"I'm fine!" He said.
I took his hand and smiled at him.
He pulled it away and continued looking down.
We were quiet the rest of the way.

"How many?" Asked the woman at the café.
"Four," mom replied.
"Right this way!"
She lead us over to a small table with a daisy in the center.
We sat down and opened our menus.
"Oooh... The cinnamon vanilla latte sounds delicious!" Said Hazel.
