^Images of characters above, and Dylan O'Brian as Kaiden, who agrees. Nobody... Just me? Not surprising.

Well I was completely right about English it was torture, but I was in art now and the sketching I was doing of a fallen angel is relaxing me.

I had always been good at drawing portraits, or so people tell me. I always say that there is something I can improve. Willow is next to me drawing a sketch of horses in a pasture. Another good thing about this class is that it's something I know I'm better at than Willow. She is such a perfect student that it's nice to know I can be better than her at something.

I let out a sigh and look at the clock, only 10 minutes left till the end of block 3. There was still a few weeks until sketchbooks were due, so I decided to start cleaning up my area. The pencils in my foldable case along with the erasers and sharpeners. I then stood up and and walked over to my little cubby and slid the drawing into it, making sure not to let anything sit on top of it. So the graphite didn't smudge.

Willow had stood up and followed my example, putting her drawing into her cubby which is right next to mine. "Why can't I be as good an artist as you are?" she pouts.

"You can't be good at everything hun. I'm just glad there's one class I'm better than you at."

"It's not that I'm great at all things school related, I just know how to study. "

"Yeah, okay. Speaking of studying do you want to come to my house for dinner and we can study for our French test?"

"Sounds great, you help me with the verbal pieces, and I'll help you with the written."

"Yeah, I'll be there at 4ish, depends on how long I have to watch Michael until mom or dad gets home."

"Oka-..." I was cut off by the sound of our schools old time bell, which was pinging on a pitch that made my ears feel like they were bleeding. That combined with the 30 or so students who were pushing past me and Willow as if they were in a stampede, made it quite difficult for me to talk. When everyone was finally past I continued my sentence, "Well now that that's over, I need to get to ugh...gym and I'll see you tonight." Just like that we parted and went our separate ways.

It's not that I don't like gym or sports per say but, I don't like gym because it's a hierarchy of the students who have 'noble' blood. Meaning that they have a high class spirit animal or are expected to. Those of us who weren't, were considered ignoble and teams were always split up this way. Most unfairly was the fact that if you had your companion they were allowed to compete with you, even though they are still young at this age, they're freaking ankle biters. And it freaking hurts.

Don't misunderstand me though. Many of the people who are considered 'noble' are quite nice, they just don't realize they distance themselves from the rest of the student body. There are a select few who believe that because they have a rare companion, they are above everyone else. I don't associate with them unless forced to.
