Friday came faster than I wanted it to.
The incessant beeping of alarm clock had made the day start out horrible. I was not in the mood for anything that had to do with or was in any way related to school. I consider myself a good student, but I'm not partial to skipping school. So I decided I wanted to take a day to myself. But, before that I need to text my girls and tell them I wasn't coming in today, and that girls night is still on.
I reached over to grab my phone, but it wasn't there. Confused, I looked over to see it was on my dresser on the other side of the room. I groaned, now I have to stand up and do physical activity. Reluctantly I stood up out of my warm cocoon and walked to the dresser, my feet freezing from the tile flooring.
There was a reply almost immediately after I sent the message, asking me if I was okay, making sure I wasn't sick. I rolled my eyes and smiled at their worriedness, is that even a word? I don't think so... anyway, I told them I was fine, that I just didn't want to come in today.
I sighed in relief over the fact that I didn't have to worry about doing anything. Though, just because I didn't want to go to school didn't mean I was going to do nothing all day.
I decided that I would sleep in and then go shopping for an outfit to wear tomorrow. I have to look good when I meet my SA. Right?

That's how I ended up in the city looking for small boutiques that I knew would have nice clothes. Willow had told me about one that she went to all the time called Urban Attic, she said that it had fashionable clothes for really good prices. I finally made it to the boutique after sitting through all the traffic that was spaghetti junction.
I'm not sure how it got the name spaghetti junction but it fits perfectly with it. All of the highways twist around, under, and over each other, giving the junction the look of spaghetti spilling over the side of a plate. It didn't help that there was so much road work being done that detours were changing constantly, making it hard to go anywhere.
Sadly there was no parking lot so I had to parallel park a bit down the road, ugh parallel parking. It took me a few minutes but I finally managed successfully parking between two cars. I then walked the 30 or so feet down to the little shop. The windows were decorated with adorable kids apparel, I wish I had a little sibling I could get them for. Now that I think about it, I could get something for Michael, Willow's brother.
With that thought in mind, along with what I want for tomorrow I went in with a skip in my step. The air inside was warm and friendly, there were racks with shirts, jeans, scarves, purses, dresses and more all around the store, thankfully it wasn't crowded. That probably had to do with the fact that it's the middle of the day on a work/school day.
"Hello, welcome to Urban Attic, can I help you look for anything?" A woman in her mid forties with a name tag that said Sydney asked me.
"Actually I'm going to find my companion tomorrow and I wanted to get something to wear for it," I say rather shyly. "Do you know what I should wear to it."
"Well, I personally wasn't into that kind of thing so I never went to meet mine. But, I've heard many people say that you should just be normal, wear what is your style. I'll help you look." Sydney started with the rack closest to her. "Do you wear dresses?"
"No, not usually, I would guess that I like wearing jeans, or shorts, crop tops, cut off shirts, I don't know if that helps..."
"Oh, it does honey, I know just what to look through." I followed her to the back of the store, where there were multiple racks of jeans, shorts, and my kind of shirts.
