Asher's POV

School had just let out and I was beyond relieved. My teachers bored me to death, I wish I was back in my old school. All of my friends were back there. But, as soon as it turned out that my companion was the eagle, I was transferred to the most prestigious school around me. I think the only good part was that my teachers were to never disrespect me so I never had to do anything and my grades were always perfect. Just like the they should be, because, 'I am the most noble of people in North America.'

Of course being 'the noblest in North America' has its perks, I don't have to get a reservation at high class restaurants. Almost anything I would have to buy has a massive discount. And of course everyone treated me like I was royalty. I have to admit that it was kind of cool at first, going from a nobody to royalty. But now, the attention kind of sucks, I never get any privacy. Thankfully most people at school have gotten used to having me there.

I hurried out of the school and to transport tubes. Thank God today was a half day therefore I got to drive myself, instead of being chauffeured. Since getting my SA I've had to be taken everywhere for my "safety" along with the bodyguard that no one sees but is most definetly always there. Driving quickly became my me time and I very much appreciated the fact that I got it.

I was going to be late to the shop. School let out right as the lunch rush was going back to work, so the streets were crowded with people walking blatantly in front of cars, just asking to be hit. When I finally made it to the shop I was 15 minutes late and waiting to be scolded. If there's one thing my mother hates, it's people being late.

I rushed inside and was about to start begging for forgiveness when I saw my mother was talking to someone. I was going to wait until she was done, but as I was looking at them, the girl my mother was talking to turned her head slightly and I got a view of her face. From just the side of her face I saw I knew she wasn't like the girls I normally go for, yeah they were hot, but they were fake. Always wearing excess makeup and molding it to their face so they looked presentable in their eyes.

This girl though, she didn't even look like she was trying, yet she was beautiful. I could see no trace of makeup on her face, and her silvery hair, that had to be dyed, was pulled into a messy knot at the back of her head, keeping it out of her face. My heart starting pumping fast when I got that first glimpse of her. Then I think my heart went into overtime when she bit her lip, looking at the shirt she was holding in her hand.

'Well are you just going to stand there and stare, or are you going to talk to her.'

Kain was talking to me. 'Yeah yeah, okay I was momentarily distracted.'

'Really I couldn't tell. I do know everything your thinking you know.'

'Shut up'

Time to put on the charm.

"Hey Beautiful."

She turned to look at me, and when I saw her face in full, I was not disappointed. I tried my best to keep my face casual and smiling.

She seemed to be confused at first then her face morphed into one of surprise, then shock. Those were all pretty normal reactions. When she regained her composure.

"Hello," she mumbled quietly, shyly.

I pulled my signature smirk that always worked on the ladies, "No need to be shy. I only said hello."

Her face suddenly turned cold, "What do you want, a medal. Well congratulations, you can say hello."

I was surprised by the overly sarcastic remark. I hadn't had anyone respond to me like that. Even before I had my companion, but before I could respond my mother cut in.
