JACKS POV
I looked towards my table where I usually sit and saw Jack J, Sammy, Nate, and Derek. Aphrodite look up at me smiling after I reached for her hand. Johnson saw me and his eyes trailed down to our locked hands and he shook his head and smirked at me.
As we were walking towards the table, I heard Sammy say, " Aye Phillips."
I looked at her to see how she responded, " Aye what's up, Wilk." Even though it was still kind off soft it was the loudest I'd ever heard her speak. I was a little bit jealous that she was so comfortable with him. Wait why was she so comfortable with him?
"Sup guys this is Aphrodite my new um -
I looked at her while she looked up at me
" um sorry my new friend." I coughed
She looked around at everyone.
" Hey Mami, I'm Derek ."
"Aye, I'm Nate but you can call me skate."
"Hey I'm Jack but you can me Johnson."
I held her hand a little bit tighter as he said "Mami" and I think she noticed because she held them tight back.
"Hey , I'm Aphrodite but you can just call me Phillips. She said and smiled at them.
"Hey I'm sorry but can I ask you something?" Derek said with a weird look on his face
"Um yeah" she said and giggled
" So did your parents name you after the goddess of sex."
Sammy laughed
" Nah my dads just a big nerd." She said
Sammy laughed, " yeah I went over for a project and he ended up doing it all for us."
"Wait so you too are like friends?" I said
" yeah Sammy and I are like childhood friends I've known him forever."
" I'm sorry, Ma." Nate said joking and laughing at Sammy
" I like this one." She said laughing
" Dang I expected it from him but you too" Sammy faked hurt.
" I mean I did bail you out of jail." She said laughing
" you loyal" Sammy said imitating DJ KHALED
And we all laughed and talked through the rest of lunch.
I think I really like this girl.
