Still Jacks POV
I decided to put what I learned in the back of my mind because it's not really real until she says it back, but that will probably mean I have to say it again and I don't know if I'm ready to put myself out there again.
I asked Sammy if he could drive me to school again because the plan from yesterday was reschedule to today. We hadn't talked about it but the back to school dance was coming up and I was hoping to go with her. But now I feel like that might be awkward.
I planned out one of those cute proposals for dances like you see on Instagram.
It was written in the font of the Cinderella movie title and said," Princess, will you go to the Ball with me?" And I had a tiara and some flowers for her but those died so I got more. I had Nate and Johnson take it for me so she wouldn't see it coming until I did it.
Sammy pulled up with Derek already sitting shotgun. Normally I would be mad but I would get to sit next to her. "Sup, guys." I said sliding into my seat.
"Aye G." Derek said giving me a little handshake.
"Morning, Loverboy." Sammy said smirking.
"Lover more like Love her." Derek said and they both went crazy telling "Ohhh's" and fake screaming at their own joke. I couldn't help but laugh at them.
"Did y'all really plan out a joke waiting for me?" I asked still laughing.
"Well when you say it like that." Sammy said pretending to be said.
"It was pretty good though you have to admit."Derek laughed out.
I just nodded laughing.
Finally we pulled up to Aphrodite's house. She looked so cute in her big pink sweatshirt and her gray joggers. She had her hair up in space buns. My baby looks fly.
She was sitting on a ledge outside her house looking at her phone. Sammy honked to let her know we were here. She got so startled from the honk that she dropped her phone, squealed, and grabbed her heart.
She laughed at herself and ran to the car.
"Boy, you got me messed up." She yelled laughing sliding into the car.
Sammy laughed at her.
"Bruh, what happened to not being able to make you talk now you don't shut up." Sammy joked.
"He's sitting in the back seat." Derek said wiggling his eyebrows at both of us.
Dite busted out laughing. And then just sang along to the radio. After about ten minutes she was tired of it and laid her head carefully on my shoulder so she didn't mess up her hair.
When we pulled up to school I took a deep breath. Hopefully she says yes. I'm really falling for this girl.
