We met up with all the boys and separated into our teams. Sammy helped me get the vest and everything on. I miss doing this with him so I'm glad we all decided to come.
After everyone was geared up and in the room the employee started talking over the speaker.
"Hello Players, and welcome to Galaxy Zone(??), First and foremost this game is all about fun, but second some good old fashion competition. But with that being said we want to remind everyone to be safe and cautious in the dark. The game will begin in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Go!"
The light turned off but the fake stars on the wall gave a little light to somewhat see. Sammy and I ran and hid behind one of the foam rocks to plan this out. While running I shot some little kids making their vests light up. You could get shot three times in the game before you lost and either left or stood to the side and watched everyone else.
"K lets go back to back." Sammy said moving me to face the other way once we were behind the rock. Every couple second or so we would reach up and shoot but we are about out of shots to take and we were going to have to go reload our guns. Which means we would have to run to the wall.
"Sam we should go to the wall with some shots left so we can shoot on the way there." I spoke straight into his ear not wanting anyone to hear my voice and know it was us here.
"Okay we'll I'll run and reload watch my back got it?"
"K I'll be right behind you."
"3, 2, 1,"
He was running to the wall with me behind him. I was watching Sam but he wasn't watching me which ended in me getting pinned up against the wall.
"What the-" I said startled until I looked up and realized it was Jack.
"Babygirl." He whispered in my ear sending a shiver down my spine. I hoped he wouldn't notice but he obviously did when he smirked down at me and shook his head. "Do I make you nervous?"
I tried to answer but my words felt like they were caught in my throat. I just stared into his eyes with my lips parted ready to speak but nothing came out.
I heard the sound of a vest going off. I looked down at mine figuring Jack or someone else had shot me because I was just standing here.
I realized it was Jacks and looked over to see Sam had done it. I was snapped out of my thoughts and got back into game mode.
I crashed my lips into Jacks. I saw his eyes widen slightly before I closed mine. He immediately kissed back making me a lot less nervous. I broke the kiss and shot his vest. "Baby Boy, you can't beat this." I said before running to the wall to reload my gun.
Jack just stood there still. I watched him as I ran off to where Sammy was behind another foam rock.
"What was that all about?" Sammy whisper yelled at me.
"What?" I whisper yelled back.
"You didn't have my back and Nate shot me."
" I kinda got pinned against a wall." I dead panned.
"Ohh Kinky." Sammy said making me laugh and Derek saw us and shot me.
"Crap" I said being dragged my Sammy to another part of the room.
"Really?" Sammy asked.
"It was funny." I said softly and shrugged we both had only gotten shot once. I peeked over the foam rocket ship(¿?) and saw JJ running to reload his gun and I shot his vest.
The amount of people still playing was getting less and less in seconds. Derek and JJ had gotten out but the rest of the squad was still in.
Sammy and I just stuck to the strategy of hiding it out. Occasionally we would pop up and shoot people. Sammy got shot one time as he popped up meaning he had one life left.
"We need to reload." He said to me yanking me up.
"This time you watch my back." I said to Sammy right before I started running to the wall. I reloaded and looked up to see Sammy. I shot some random people and grabbed his hand yanking behind another prop. When we were running to be safe again Sammy got shot.
I heard Nate say "Got you twice fool." So I shot him.
"You better win." Sammy said half laughing before he walked off and stood on the sideline next to Johnson.
After a couple minutes a heard a voice on the speaker," We're down to five people so there is no more reloading, good luck!"
Well it's a good thing I just reloaded. I looked back over to the sidelines and realized Jack was the only one that was still in from the crew. I popped up and shot some girl but when I got up I got shot. I was down to one life.
I decided to stay down until more people got out, not wanting to risk getting out. After a little while the voice on the speaker went off again," We're down to two finalists so you're in it to win it."
I looked back over to the sidelines, most people had left but Jack still wasn't there so we must be the finalists.
I popped up to see if he was out but I heard a shot go off but it didn't hit me so I quickly ducked back down. I had to move because he knew where I was but I had to be smart about it so I don't lose.
I started to run off to another spot when my arm was grabbed, spinning me around me be face to face with Jack.
As I still didn't realize what was happening he grabbed the gun out of my hand.
"Crap." I said looking at him waiting for him to shoot me.
He laughed at my outburst.
"Any last words." He said looking me square in the eyes.
"Yeah, has anyone ever told you that you look hot in the dark." I said jokingly knowing I had no chance left.
He just laughed again.
"You gon' shoot me or what?" I asked annoyed that I was hopeless and bound to lose and he was just making it last longer.
"Just shoot her already, damn no need to make this all dramatic." I heard Derek yell from the sidelines. Jack laughed and looked back at him. So I quickly grabbed my gun and shot him.
"Congratulations we have a winner." The voice on the speaker said.
"You should've shot me." I said laughing at pouting Jack.
"Yes that's my girl." Sam said running over to me and hugging me so I was up in the air. I laughed as he spun me.
"Really dude we could've won but you had to go and be so whipped." Johnson said nudging Gilinsky.
When Sam put me down I looked to Jack and said," Thanks for not killing me."
He laughed," anytime." He said and put his arm over my shoulders.
"Y'all" I yelled getting everyone's attention, "there is a Chick-fil-A in this mall and I don't know about you but I am not giving up this opportunity."
Everybody laughed, "What happened to you being all shy, Ma." Derek said laughing.
"What a girl can't get excited about her chicken?" I said jumping on Sam's back.
Sam groaned but carried me anyway.
"Yes piggy back rides." Nate yelled and jumped on Derek's back.
"What do you eat, boy." Derek said as he grabbed Nate before they both fell.
"Don't talk to him like that just cause you weak. Nate it's okay boo." I said.
Derek laughed knowing I was only joking.
"Why is everyone else your boo but me?" Jack said standing next to me.
"You're my boy not my boo." I said looking down at him from being on Sam's back.
"I'm your boy?" Jack said suddenly getting happier.
I just laughed and let another conversation happen not wanting to be the center of attention any longer.
Soon enough he got to the restaurant and all ordered. The whole time we were just laughing and goofing around. This was one of those days that you just know you're gonna remember.
