Tricia's muscles tensed, she wasn't sure why. It was a bad feeling she had. The footsteps stopped right behind her, summoning any courage she had. She turned and started to fuss at who she thought it might be, she froze.
The guy had to be in his twenties, blond hair and green eyes. "You are quite the beauty..." He commented staring down at her from his towering height of 6'0. She stared at his face for what seemed like forever.
"Oh... Uh.." She was at a loss for what to say. He helped himself to her booth, she sat across from him. "I'm sorry, I've not introduced myself. I'm Vince." He smiled and took her hand, kissing the backs of her fingers. She pulled her hand back. "Tricia..." She said and hugged herself again. "Why is a beautiful young lady such as yourself crying? Did a guy break your heart?" He questioned, tilting his head in an almost cute and sweet way.
Tricia looked up but didn't smile. "No..." Was all she said. It was then the door bells rang again. This time it was Vladimir rushing towards Tricia. "Vincent." He bowed his head and set Tricia's art supplies on the table. "Vladimir." Vincent snarled almost. Tricia looked between the two. "H.. How do you know each other?" "Brothers." They answered in unison.
Tricia pulled her art supplies to her chest and tried to escape. "Well then... I must be going I'm sorry curfew.." Vladimir let her escape and sat with his brother.
"I thought I sensed your presence again. Tell me, is she the culprit for your awakening?" Vincent glared at his brother. Vladimir stayed his usual calm and collected self. "That's none of your concern." "Oh ho but it is. You see, that girl is no older than eighteen surely." Vincent retorted. "Yes, I know this..." "So you see the problem.." He snarled, and Vladimir narrowed his eyes. "It won't happen again..." He almost growled.
It had been found out who was controlling the vampiric lord to rape and kill Sarah. It's why Vincent and Vladimir separated and loathed each other so much.
Vincent chuckled at his older brother. "Humans are weak fragile things. That one was crying her eyes out. Perhaps she felt she got a little close with you. That you liked her presence around you. Tell me, what did you do to hurt her so?" Vladimir gave a warning snarl. "Alright alright. Look for her sake, stay away from her. This one obviously bothers you to speak of. I can see the protectiveness in your eyes brother." Vincent leaned back in his booth seat and sighed. "You don't think she's actually Sarah come back do you?" Vladimir looked thoughtful before answering. "No... I think she's just a dumb girl..." With that he stood leaving his crazy younger brother behind.
Vladimir strolled through the village for a while before heading back to the castle.
*elsewhere
Tricia made it back to the academy, it was nearly curfew. Katie sat on the front steps waiting for her, smiling when she neared. "Are you ok?" She pulled Tricia into a hug. "Yeah I'm ok. I'm sorry I ran. I just had to get away."
Katie took Tricia to her room and helped her to get a bath. She simply wished to sooth her friend's pain. She even went as far as staying in Tricia's room like a guard dog.
Tricia sat in the window sill for hours as the sun began to set, and even as the moon rose. Katie was laying on the bed on her laptop. "Tricia I've noticed you've been acting weird... Can I ask why?"
Tricia looked up from her art work. "I had a boyfriend before I came here. Not once has he called, texted or asked my old friend Jessie about me." She began to tear up again. Katie thought about it and smirked. "Come here. I know how to make him jealous."
The two hooked up talker. A computer app that allows you to video chat. Tricia put his name into the "chat with" bar and Katie sat on video with him while Tricia listened from behind.
'Flirt with him' Tricia wrote on a piece of paper. Katie did just that. Prompting him to flirt back. Tricia couldn't believe her ears. "Would you like to see my hard on?" Matt asked through the camera microphone.
Katie got the thumbs up from Tricia and the two nearly sexted. "Hold on, Matt." With that she muted the camera and moved as Tricia took her place, when Matt looked up he froze. "Oh shit. Hi baby." He said halting his actions.
Tricia flipped him off and shut the camera down. A few minutes passed and her phone rang out. Katie answered it "listen here douchebag. Tricia is way to good for you! Just go die in a ditch" and she hung up.
Tricia smiled and hugged her new best friend.
Katie excused herself to the bathroom and Tricia curled up on her bed. She dozed off, this time her dreams seemed more like distant memories.
She was dancing in the arms of the mysterious vampire. It wasn't golden like the last few. "My sweet, you are so very beautiful." She heard his voice, it was a sweet melody. His eyes still shadowed, "you are silly Vladimir." Her voice, however, wasn't hers.
Tricia sat up like a rocket and gasped for air. Katie was asleep soundly on the couch, hearing her friend's gasp woke her up. "You ok?" She'd ask rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "I... I think so." Tricia's face was pale and her heart raced.
