*Just a quick note before the chapter starts to say that the next couple of chapters will be mostly based on Elliot, Allison & Alex.*
His whole body ached. He felt something warm trickling down his forehead, instantly assuming that it was blood, His eyes felt like they were glued together and he struggled to swallow properly. His left leg felt fine but as for his right let, he couldn't tell if it was even still there. He couldn't feel a thing. The seat belt was tight against his chest and after a little while, he was finally able to open his eyes. His vision was blurry at first and the sound of sirens whirled around Elliot's head
"Sir..listen to me. We're going to get you out of here." A voice spoke from beside him, just out of his view.
It hurt to turn his head but he shifted to the left slightly so he was able to see where the voice was coming from. A lady, a paramedic, was leaning in through the smashed window trying to comfort him. Because of the blood that had trickled down into his eyes, he was unable to see anything more than a few feet ahead of him before everything turned into a blur of flashing lights.
Then, suddely, he remembered about Holly. He looked to the right and realised that she wasn't there next to him. Instead, the passenger door was open and so he assumed that she had already been lifted to safety.
When his vision finally came back into focus, he saw the lorry that was smashed up a few metres from the car. The trailer was laying across the road on its side and all of the front had smashed in. The windscreen of both Elliot's car and the truck no longer existed...and then he saw it.Ahead of him there was a crowd of people knelt down on the road. At first he assumed it was an animal of some sort, but then he saw the blood smeared across the dashboard and what was left of the bonnet of the car. His heart began to race and he panicked, wanting to get out of the car.
"Sir, please calm down. We're working as hard as we can to get you out of here as quickly as possible but I need you to stay still. We don't yet know what injuries you have and any sudden movement could be life threatening."
"The passenger..where is she?" He prayed to god that she was already in one of the ambulances that were close by.
"Sir we need to get you out." She replied, ignoring Elliot's original question.
"Can you tell me your name?"
"It's Elliot. Where is she?"
Again, she ignored his question. "We need to cut you out. Your foot is stuck under the gas pedal and you're losing a lot of blood."
They covered him with a foil blanket so he wasn't hit with the sparks and began to cut away at the car. All he could think about was how much his Dad was going to kill him when he realised he had totalled the car. He prayed that it wasn't Holly on the road in front of him, but his gut feeling told him that it was. The paramedic was quite obviously trying to ignore his question, if it was good news she would've told him. About 15 minutes later, he was finally lifted from the car and put onto a stretcher. They took him to the ambulance where he was then transferred to the hospital.
"Please. Tell me what happened to her. I need to know." He spluttered.
The paramedic that had spoken to him whilst he was in the car was sat opposite him. He knew by the look on her face that his worst fears had been confirmed.
"Your friend.."
"Holly" he said, correcting her.
"Holly. It appears that your car was on the wrong side of the road when it collided with the truck. Unfortunately, Holly went through the windshield of the car. The driver of the truck called 911 and we found her in the road when we arrived. She's being treated by the best team of paramedics but right now that's all I can tell you."
