Conor's P.O.V
Me, Franklin and Wendell sat on the couch in my basement. Me and Wendell played a videogame while Franklin watched. As the match ended I took up my phone again, for the 30th time but still no answer from Ashley. I couldn't help but wonder if I did something wrong and that's why she's ignoring me.
"Let's play another game! I'm not stopping until I defeat you" Wendell said but I just kept looking at the texts I'd sent to Ashley.
"Conor? What's wrong?" Franklin slowly says and looks over at my phone.
"Ashley's ignoring my texts and calls, atleast I think so..." I mumble.
"Maybe her phone just is off or has died or she might be too busy to look at it..." Franklin say and tries to sound hopeful.
"I doubt that... I think it's because I got back together with...." As I'm about to say Erica, Wendell interrupts.
"Or maybe she isn't answering cause she's hanging out with the hottest and most famous gamer girl in the entire world!" He says and shows us a picture that Erica has uploaded on instagram.
It's a selfie of her and Ash with the caption 'Exploring Redwood with the sweetest girl ever!' I quickly grab his phone and looks at the picture closer and then at the comments.
"Wendell there's something I need to tell you but please don't freak out" I say.
"Why the hell would I freak out?" Wendell says and looks at me confused.
"Maybe because Erica was my girlfriend when I still was on the pro tour and I kinda got back together with her yesterday" I say and bites my lip.
Wendell widens his eyes and looks at me.
"You're dating my future wife? You treator!" He says ans stands up.
As I'm about to say something he's already gone upstairs. I sigh and looks back at our paused game.
"I'm sure he'll come around once he's calmed down...." I hear Franklin say.
I nod slowly and then spends the rest of the afternoon helping Franklin to practise his gaming skills.
