Chapter 1 - Meeting Erica

Ashley's P.O.V

I was walking down the hallway of Mondale high school. As I walked up to my locker to open it, I felt a hand on my shoulder which made me jumped and turned around.

"Conor! Stop scaring me!" I said as I turned around and faced the freckled boy who is my best friend and whom I'm secretly crushing on.

"Sorry Ash" Conor said and laughed. "I was just wondering if you'll come to practise after school?"

"Of course I'll come" I said and nodded.

I saw a smile on Conor's face and couldn't help but smile back, I loved everything about that boy. As he was just about to say something someone shouted his name which made him turn around. A girl, whom I've never seen before, came running towards us.

"Hii Conor!" the girl said and smiled widely.

"Erica... what are you doing in Redwood? I thought you where still on the tour!" Conor said and hugged the girl friendly.

"I missed you too much, the tour life isn't the same without you... and I miss us alot too" Erica said as she pulled away from the hug.

"You were the one who broke up with me remember..." Conor said and sighed.

"I know and I regret it so much... Please can we meet up and talk about it when you've ended school?" Erica asked.

"Uhm yeah... sure, after school is great" Conor said.

I watched them and cleared my throat as he said after school was great. They both turned and looked at me.

"Have you forgot that we have practise after school Conor?" I said and crossed my arms.

"Oh yeah, I forgot" Conor said and turned back to Erica "Can we meet up later? Me and my team have practise after school. We could talk over dinner maybe?" he then said.

"Sure, dinner is fine but maybe I could join you guys for practice also? I mean I am a pro gamer after all so your friends might need some help" Erica said.

"We do not need any help! Especially not from you, we already have Conor for that and I'm sure I could easily beat you in any game" I said and looked at her.

"Wooh girl, I was just asking. And really? You do know that I'm the best girl on the pro tour" She said.

"I know who you are, Our friend Wendell has a huge crush on you. To be honest he's obsessed with you" I said and laughed.

"Yeah he is" Conor said and nodded "And by the way, Erica this is Ashley. She's the only girl in our team, a great gamer and my best friend here. And Ash this is Erica, she's a pro gamer as you already know and my ex girlfriend" he added.

"Nice to meet you" Erica said and smiled.

"Nice to meet you too" I said and smiled back.

"We have to go to class now but I'll text you after practise and we can meet up for dinner, okay?" Conor said to Erica.

"Okay, I can't wait" She said, kissed his cheek and walked out from the school.

"You seriously dated her? She seems so stuck up" I said as Conor looked after her.

"Yeah I did... and she's actually nice once you get to know her, I promise" He said.

We then walked to Mr Spank's class where we meet Wendell and Franklin and the rest of the day goes.
