Chapter 8 - If you hurt her I'll hurt you

Conor's P.O.V.

It was now Monday and Ashley didn't came to our spot were we two meets up before walking to school together. I stood at my locker as I overheard two girls talking. 

"I heard that he got together with Ashley, the girl in the volleyball team who hangs out with the gamers Conor and Wendell plus that nerdy kid Franklin" One of them said. 

"No way! She's so lucky! He's like the hottest guy in the whole school" The other one said. 

All of a sudden Dylan came walking through the entrance with Ashley and he was holding her hand. I widened my eyes and watched him say see you later and kissed her cheek. He then walked off to find his friends and I made my way over to Ashley. 

"You know I waited for you for ages. You could at least sent me a text to let me know you were not coming." I said and crossed my arms. 

"Sorry Con, I completely forgot that we walks together" She said. 

"It's okay. So I heard this rumour that you two are together. Is that true?" I asked. 

"Yeah it is. Your not the only one with a partner now" She said and smiled. 

"I don't get it, last week you hated him and now you're in love with him even though you know he's a player" I said. 

"Well I changed my mind. He's not like you think and he's not a player. I mean he might have dated a few girls but he said it was because he was waiting for me. He'll never break my heart cause he says I'm different and that he actually loves me. She said. 

"You know, he probably says that to all the girls he dates." I said. 

"Why can't you just be happy for me. I support you and Erica and doesn't try to make her sound like an asshole. Your supposed to be my best friend" She said and walked off. 

"Ashley wait!" I said but she was already gone. 

I heard the bell ring and made my way to class. Later after lunch I spotted Dylan in the hallway and walked up to him. 

"Can I talk to you for a sec man" I said. 

"Sure. Hey your Ashley's friend right?" He asked. 

"Yeah I am and I know what you're doing. You're making her believe that you actually likes her but for real you just want to play with her feelings and then break her heart." I said angrily. 

"Woah man take it easy, I'd never do that. Especially not to Ashley. You're just jealous that she's with me and not you" He said. 

"We both know it will happen and no I'm not jealous. I actually already has a girlfriend and I just care about her because she's my best friend. Just know that if you hurt her, I'll hurt you!" I said and walked off. 

The rest of the day went and the voice of Dylan saying that I'm jealous because she's with him and not me haunted me for the whole day which made me completely unfocused in class.
