Chapter 25 - I lied to you

Ashley's P.O.V.

The whole next day in school I felt awful for lying to Hanna. She's always been like an older sister to me and I had never lied to her before. As school ended Conor, Franklin and Wendell decided to go to Conor's house and play some video games.

"What about you Ash? Are you coming too?" Conor asked me.

"Nah I don't think so, Hanna is leaving tomorrow so I kinda wants to spend time with her tonight" I said.

"I see well have fun" Conor said and smiled.

"I will, hope you guys has a great time too" I said back.

We parted ways and I made my way towards the Hotel where Hanna and Noah were staying. I walked into the lobby and asked the man in the reception which room they stayed in. He told me the floor and room number and I went up with the elevator. As I came to their door I knocked.

"Oh hi Ashley!" Noah said as he opened.

"Hey Noah, is Hanna here?" I asked.

"No sorry, she went out for a while ago to get her nails done but she'll probably be back in any minute. If you want you can stay here and wait but I have some stuff I need to do now so" He said.

"Oh okay and thanks" I said and walked inside.

Noah took on his shoes and hoodie and left me alone in the room. I sat down on the bed and scrolled through my social medias on my phone while waiting. About 10 minutes late the door opened and in came Hanna.

"Woah hey Ashley, what are you doing here?" She said surprised.

"Noah let me wait here for you. Since you're leaving tomorrow I was wondering if you wanted to hang out?" I said.

"Yeah sure, What do you want to do?" She asked.

"Well first I kinda want to talk to you about something..." I said and bit my lip.

"Okay, what's up?" She asked as she sat down next to me on the bed.

"You know Conor..." I said.

"Yeah your boyfriend" Hanna said and nodded.

"Actually he isn't my boyfriend" I said.

"Wait what? He isn't?" Hanna said confused.

"No... we're just team mates and best friends although I do want him to be my boyfriend. When we talked on Sunday and you thought I had a boyfriend I said that I did without thinking and then I felt to embarrassed to admit that I lied. So Conor was really nice and volunteered to pretend to be my boyfriend. I'm so sorry Hanna, I never meant to lie to you" I said.

"It's okay Ashley, I know the feeling when people expect you to date someone and you don't want to embarrass yourself and say you don't. I've been there. But you like Conor huh?" She said.

"Yeah... I like him a lot. But I don't know if he feels the same and I don't dare to ask. And I'm also scared of what would happen if he didn't liked me back. I don't want to loose my best friend" I said.

"Well if you ask me I think he does... like he volunteered to pretend to be your boyfriend and it didn't seemed awkward for him at all to act romantic when we were on the double date and stuff. Also it seemed like he enjoyed it as well so" Hanna said.

"You really think so?" I said.

"Yep! So gather some courage and admit how you feel. Also if he doesn't like you back I think you could still keep the same relation as you two have right now" She said.

"Okay I will... Thanks Hanna, you're the best!" I said and smiled.

"You're welcome little cousin. Now let's do something. What do you say we go shopping?" She asked.

"Yeah that'd be really fun" I said and smiled.

I then spent the rest of the afternoon shopping with Hanna and we ate dinner together at Billy's before I went home at 8 pm.
