Marriage

MOST of us here are not married, some may be engaged and some are in relationships. The variety of us are not married yet and that is good.

Bible verses:

- "But if you do marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But those who marry will face many troubles in this life, and I want to spare you this." - 1 Corinthians 7:28

- "But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion." - 1 Corinthians 7:9

- "If that is the situation between a husband and a wife, it is much better not to marry." - Mathew 19:10

Remember:

Marriage is not for everybody, not everybody needs to be married. It isn't everybody's desire either. However, if you wish to marry because you believe that God's purpose for you on earth will require a companion then let it be.

If you cannot control your sexual desires then it is better for you to get married. You must run to marriage, the Bible says. It is better to be married than to fornicate. Sexual sin is not like the other sins because you sin against yourself and if you're a Christian, you sin against the Holy Spirit who lives in the inside of you.

Be Wiser

Marriages are failing. The world and the church have pretty much a similar success rate. Where are they going wrong? Was this what God intended?

Marriage is beautiful, it can be beautiful. When you understand the importance of being single. You being single is the most important part of your development and you need to focus on you every single day so that you can be a blessing walking down the aisle and not a curse.

1. Strengthen you believers in growing to becoming more like Christ.

2. To prepare you for fatherhood and motherhood.

3. To show you the beauty of being unmarried and the adventures that comes with it.

Every week your intimacy with God, your boldness for God and your understanding of God will grow enormously. Don't let the devil slow you down, you are a conqueror!

I encourage you to pray before you start. Ask God to lead you through these 31 days. Pray that God strengthens you, prepares you and shows you how amazing He is. Pray that you don't quit but you learn, adapt and embrace the beauty of being a son or a daughter of a King who will one day give themselves to a daughter or a son for God's glory.

I have prayed over you. I have spent days in the word asking God to effect those who decide to make use of their singleness. God will bless you abundantly if you show that you can handle the responsibility of a spouse, parent and role model.
