GOD WHO?

Everyday, you will add a new principle from the previous day.

Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. 1 John 2:6

For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps. - 1 Peter 2:21

For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. - Galatians 3:27

___________________________

We talk about Jesus all the time. We talk about becoming like Christ or taking on the righteousness of God.
What comes to your mind when I say:

Jesus Christ.

Take a moment and think.

____________________________

It's difficult to know what to think. Isn't it awkward trying to grasp the image of God. In reality, you probably pictured a tanned man from North Africa with brown or blonde long hair. Or however you've seen him portrayed in paintings, movies or children books.

(I know you did, don't lie.)

But this is a huge problem though isn't it? Sometimes you don't know what to imagine when we're praying. Isn't it a little awkward?

Let's see how scripture describes God's appearance like. This is important because even when you meet someone that you agree to work towards marriage with; you will still need to make sure that you understand WHICH God you're even talking about.

If you both understand the God of scripture in your relationship, you will honor Him completely differently, you will talk to each other completely differently and you will walk in such obedience and wisdom because the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. God will give you both a better understanding of what it's like to have Him in the center.

(Bible Verses)

Revelation 1:12-15
Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters.

Revelation 19:11-16
Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty

Daniel 7:9
"As I looked, thrones were placed, and the Ancient of Days took his seat; his clothing was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames; its wheels were burning fire.

Revelation 1:14
The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire,

Revelation 4:3
And he who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald.

Revelation 10:1-11
Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow over his head, and his face was like the sun, and his legs like pillars of fire. He had a little scroll open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea, and his left foot on the land, and called out with a loud voice, like a lion roaring. When he called out, the seven thunders sounded. And when the seven thunders had sounded, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down." And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand to heaven ...

Daniel 10:5-6
I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, a man clothed in linen, with a belt of fine gold from Uphaz around his waist. His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and the sound of his words like the sound of a multitude.

To Conclude

Do I need to say more? Read over the verses until your image, seriousness and expectation of God in your head completely evacuates. Now, you can pray to Him like you was about to approach Him in all his glory with a 100 million angels praising His name. They cover themselves from his glory, beauty and holiness. That's the God you serve.

Revelation 5:11-12 - Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they were saying: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!"

Today - approach his throne.
