Not So Best Friends

Chapter 1

Gwen's P.O.V.

"Good Morning Sweetie, are you exciting for your last year of school?" My mother said. "Ya so excited, I got to go meet up with the others in front of Luke's house I'll see you later." I rushed out the house after giving my mom a hug goodbye. I was actually pretty excited to go to school today and the whole year you might as well say. I always liked school only bc I just like to learn. The only subject I'm horrible at is Math and I have Luke to help me.

As I approached the group of 7 I started thinking, what a great year it will be with my best friends. We went in together school and now were leaving together. "Well, well, well, look who it is," Michael said smirking. Jackie, Elisabeth, and August both gave me a hug they are my Best Girl/Friends. Then there's Michael, Ashton, Calum, and Luke. I'm close to all four of the guys but Luke and I we were just, I guess you can say closer. When we were younger I might of had a tiny bit of a crush on Luke and right now I don't know how I feel about him. I dazed off thinking about life and I didn't even notice we started to walk to school. We all live on the same block so that's why we decide to meet up at Luke's house, I don't know why we chose Luke's but we did and we stuck with it. We live close to the school that's why we walk otherwise we would drive or take the bus. Luke wasn't really with the crowd this morning, he was more behind. So I stopped and let the others walk in-front as I waited for Luke.

"What's wrong Lucas" I said smiling. "Nothing, and don't call me Lucas you know I hate when people call me that." Luke pouted. "Okay Lucas..." I laughed as I continued my sentence, "But I know somethings up I can see it on your face." "Well I'm nervous about how this school year will be." He looked down and than at me. "It will be the same as always! We will love this year and I promise nothing bad will happen, so there's nothing to worry about Lucas!" I said poking his cheeks. "Ow!" I Yelled, he smacked my hand. "Don't poke me." Luke said laughing. 10 minutes went by and we arrived at school. School just me thinking of walking in the entrance makes me smile and I hate my smile but everyone else this is cute bc I have dimples. We walked into school and my face lit up. "Well look who's back, Wittle Dimples." Ashton smirked. He pushed his pointed finger against my cheek and I smiled even more. We had the same locker as we did last year. Me and Luke had our lockers next to each other because we had the same letter of our last name. Mine was Heather and his was Hemming's. We always ended up in the same classes.

I opened my locker up and put all the books I didn't need plus my book-bag into my locker and locked it. "So ready for class," I jumped into Luke's face. "Not really I never am..." Luke trailed off. As we started walking into class I stumbled upon the teacher talking to a new student? She looked pretty and nice. I sat down and opened my books. Math my least favorite subject. I saw in the corner of my eyes as soon as the "new girl" sat down Luke started starring at her. I think Luke might like her even though we didn't even get introduced to her yet.

"Welcome to your last school year of being a high schooler unless you get held back. We have a new student this year, her name is Erin." The teacher spoke. "Hi" Erin said quietly. She seems shy too but I mean its her first day at a new school I would be shy too.

*An Hour Later*

Class ended and it was to our next class. In English all we did was talk to each other. I got to know the "new girl" or her name is Erin. She's blonde has blue eyes and is the same height as me. She loves music and writing. And before I was right, she is a little shy. She seems like a Luke girl. Luke is blonde, has blue eyes, loves music, and loves to write but only loves to write music. I ship them already. English class was over and it was time for lunch, Lunch my second favorite subject besides science. Well I say lunch is a subject but whatever. I walked with Luke into the lunch room he seems quiet once again. We went to go sit with the group. Me and Elisabeth always shared snacks together we didn't usually eat a full lunch. Michael and Calum sat down throwing there plates on the table and devouring they're food like they've never eaten before. Luke was eating and apple so was Ashton. August and Jackie ate a sandwich. I saw Erin walk into the lunch room and waved her over. I introduced Erin to the group. She sat down but she didn't have anything to eat all she had was her notebook and paper. The girls were chatting up a storm with her, I'm glad they liked her. The guys were being the guys minding their own business. The guys were acting the same but then there's Luke. Quiet still. I scooted over and looked at Luke. "What's wrong with you today and tell me the truth or I will throw that apple at her head and keep doing it." I sounded annoyed, I was annoyed. "Fine. I'm only quiet because I think the new girl or Erin is cute..." Luke whispered. I jumped with excitement clapping my hands and sat back down. The whole group was starring at me, "Get back to your own conversations" I said laughing. "Why are you so excited?" Luke question, "Because she's another you but she likes writing, writing and you like writing songs. I think you guys would be a cute couple. Ask her out. Well first talk to her and get to know her then ask her out. OOO I'm so excited." I whispered with excitement. "That's the first time in forever I've seen you this excited what the hell." He laughed. He got up and went to go sit next to Erin. "Hey" "Hi" I heard them start a conversation quietly.
