Not So Best Friends

Chapter 5

*Gwen's P.O.V.*

*Sunday Evening*

    Today was the group get together and all I could think about is what were gonna be doing tonight. I got the list of food I have to get from Michael. I honestly don't get why Michael can't be on food duty since he's obsessed with food. I ran out the house looking down looking into my purse. My car was on the other side of the street because my moms car was in the drive way and we couldn't block the walk way other spots were taken up so I had to park on the other side of the street.

   While I was looking for my keys in my purse I bumped into someone, dropping all my things; purse, phone, and paper of what I need. The guy bent down to help me pick up my things not noticing it was Luke.
    "Sorry I bumped into I was just in a rush because I have to get some things for tonight." I said grabbing my phone. Thank god it didn't crack. "It's fine I'm sorry for not paying attention either I'm in a rush too." He said giving me the piece of paper. "Where you going?" I questioned, "Going to get Erin for a movie and than dinner after." He smiled. "Oh. Well are you coming tonight." I said. "Yea of course I wouldn't miss it!" He said still smiling. I waved goodbye.

   At least he still coming. It ain't gonna be fun without him. I got into the car and drove to the store.

*Twenty Minutes Later*

   I got all the things I need, I drove to Michael's house. He was sitting outside, "Here's the food don't eat it all your gonna bring it to the get together for me okay?" I said. He nods, me and Michael been texting the whole day, since everyone else is busy. I didn't feel like hanging with him until the get together, to be honest I didn't feel like hanging with anyone so I left my car in-front of his house and walked home.

   I walked in the house and my mom seemed like she was about to leave to go out. "Where are you going tonight all fancy." I looked at her weird. "Out to eat with my friends." She smile, "I'll be back later." I nodded and went into the kitchen. I jumped against the wall, "HOLY SHIT!" I screamed. Calum was looking through my freezer. "WHAT THE HELL CALUM! MY MOM DIDN'T TELL ME YOU WERE HERE!" I yelled even more. "WILL YOU BE QUIET IT GOD DAMN!" His little mouth sound. I rolled my eyes.

   I went to get two pieces of bread and nutella. God that shit is amazing. Calum went to go sit at the table. I finished my sandwich and went to join Calum. We were both eating and scrolling through our phone until we both got a text in the group chat with Ashton, August, Michael, Elisabeth, and Jackie.

     They were talking about the doubts that Luke wasn't gonna make it to the get together and that we had to do the get together at someone else's house. We all decided on Michael's house since his parents are out of the house for two weeks.

     I'm not doubting Luke right now, he said he's coming and he is. I know he is.

      *7pm Sunday Night*

   My hair was in two Dutch braids and I was wearing leggings and a striped blue and black crop top with flats. I grabbed my phone and headed to Michaels. I looked around for Luke's car and it wasn't anywhere. I passed his house and usually his porch light would be on to mean someone was home but it was on.

   *Buzz*

Michael~ "Come in the back were by the fire"
Me~ "Okay"

   I walked into the back yard and everyone was chilling by the fire with drinks. I grabbed a drink and sat down next to Ashton."

   Luke wasn't here. "He's not coming Gwen..." Ashton said whispering. "What do you mean he's not coming." I said crossing my arms. "I just know he's not." He said sighing. Maybe Ashton was right he wasn't coming. But there still is time, I guess.
