Not So Best Friends

Chapter 37

*Luke's P.O.V.*

*Three weeks later*

It feels good to be home. Touring stopped two weeks ago. It feels so good to take a little break but I'll miss all the excitement and the fans.

Gwen and I been doing fine, better. We've been hanging with each other almost everyday. Calum and Jacklyn are finally dating. It took Calum almost a month and two weeks!

"Luke." Gwen snapped. "Yes?" I nodded waking up from my daze. "Let's go." She grabbed my hand and pulled me up onto my feet against her. I looked down at her and smirk. I leaned down to give her a kiss but she leaned away. I looked at her and frowned. "Not yet tall boy." She waved her finger in my face and smirked. She lead me out the house to my car. "Can I see your car keys." She asked. "Maybe." I put the keys in my hand and raised my hand up. She looked at me and groaned. She started to jump to grab them. She stomped and pouted like a five year old. "Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee." She whined. She went on her tippy toes and went close to my face. She looked at me and made her cute puppy dog face. "Fine." I rolled my eyes smiling. "Yay!" She jumped. I gave her the keys and we headed into the car.

"Where are we going?" I asked looking forward. "To a party." She said. I turned my head and saw a smirk peeking from her lips and cheeks. "What party and where?" I crossed my arms and raised my eyebrows. Honestly I didn't feel like in the mood to party.. I really haven't been since me and Gwen got back together because I'm being careful. I don't want anything to happen, I don't want to be dumb. "We're going to the beach for the party. The party that us and our friends are hosting." She parked in the parking lot for the beach. We got out and walked onto the beach holding heads. It was cold but it felt pretty good they decorated the beach good. There were lights on the ground and hanging from the poles they had up. There was food and drinks. A photo booth type of area. It was actually pretty cool.

"I'll be back I'm going to talk to the girls." She let go of my hand. I walked over to the guys with my shoes in my hands. "Ayeeeee its Lucas!" Calum patted me on the back. I rolled my eyes. "Hi." I laughed. "Did you know about this party?" I looked at them. They all nodded no. "It was a surprise kind of thing probably. Maybe because we were on tour?" Ashton said. We nodded agreeing. I walked with Calum to get a drink. We sat down on one of the blankets that were laid down. We looked at the water and drank our drinks. "How are you and Jacklyn doing?" I started off. "Amazing. She's honestly the best girlfriend I've ever had. Never in my life would I ever find myself in a loving relationship with one of my best friends." He said getting red. "Right. Isn't it the best thing ever?" I smiled. "The best." He nodded agreeing. "Is she good in bed?" I nudged him winking and moving my eyebrows up and down. He looked at me and smirked, "Hell yea." We laughed, almost spilling our drinks.

We spotted the our girls dancing to the music having an amazing time. "We're lucky guys." Calum said patting my back. "Yea we are." I answered taking a drink out of my red solo cup. Gwen and Jacklyn looked at us and smiled and waved at us. We waved back. We got up to go hang with the other guys after a few minutes.

I felt someone hug me from behind. "Baby?" I questioned, "Yuppppp." She walked in front of me and hugged me. I hugged her back and I kept hugging her while I was talking to the guys. She turned around and I hugged from behind. "Stay there!" Elisabeth shouted. She got out her phone and the flash went off and I instantly smiled. "Did you smile?" Gwen looked up at me. "Yes baby." I smiled. "Good." She smiled back. I pecked her lips. "Aye aye take that somewhere else, would ya." Michael said moving his hands. "Chill it was just a peck." I said then winked. He nodded and we both laughed.

We all sat on a blanket by the water and fireworks started to go off. We watched the sparks fly through the air. I put my arm around Gwen as she snuggled into me. "Good night aye." Calum nudged me. I nodded and smiled. I put my chin on top of Gwen's head and watch the fireworks.

*a week later*

*Gwen's P.O.V.*

"Luke isn't answering me." I complained. I paced around my room like a maniac. "Okay well maybe his phones off." Elisabeth. "That's not good when he's out clubbing!" I threw my hands up. I shook my head. No this can't be happening again. I'm acting like a maniac, overprotective girlfriend.

"The boys are with him, everything will be alright." Elisabeth stated. Elisabeth was staying over for the night, the other girls couldn't because they were busy doing a project. "Let's just eat food and watch TV. Our favorite things to do." She smiled. I let out a big sigh and nodded ok.

We walked into the kitchen and grabbed drinks and I made us popcorn. We we're watching 'Family Guy' and the good thing is, I was smiling and laughing. That show always lightens up my mood.

Three hours later and now we're on the 3rd season. Marathon much?

We heard car doors slam and people laughing. My mind mentally jumped up. I looked at Elisabeth wit a blank expression. She got up and looked out the window. She nodded. They were home. "They're home. But someone is in the car." Elisabeth tilted her head. We put our shoes on and walked over.

"I'm gonna go inside to see everything." She exclaimed. I nodded and slowly walked over the drivers sides of the car. Once I kept getting closer I kept putting the visual together of who was sitting there. I walked in front of the window. The blonde hair boy was laying in his arms with his head facing his feet.

I knocked on the window. He jumped up hitting his head on the ceiling and I couldn't help but giggle just a little. He rolled down the window with a guilty look. "What happened." I looked at him with a straight and serious face, then it all came to me, I heard yelling. I looked at Luke and nodded and walked into the house. To my surprise Jacklyn, Erin, and August were in the house too but they looked like they went out with them. Then when I tune everything back in, i turn to see Elisabeth crying and yelling at Michael and trying to calm her down and pulling back tears. I looked at Ashton and Calum and they wouldn't even pick up their heads. Luke came in and stood there blankly staring at his feet. "Sorry Luke." I mumbled. He brought his face up to look at me, confused.

I went into the kitchen and grabbed a glass. Luke looked at me like he knew what I was going to do. I needed everyone's attention somehow. So I like to break things. I smashed the glass onto the floor and jumped back at the sound of it shattering. Everyone stopped and looked in the entrance way of the kitchen at me.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!"
