It was Charlene's twenty third birthday and they were having dinner in some fancy restaurant in down town Seoul. Everyone is present. Aunt Meng, Uncle Min and Dara. Charlene talks animatedly the whole time. She is just so happy that she's once again "the star of the night", the center of their parent's attention.

Well, it's her birthday so just let her. Dara thought.

She was so busy thinking on how to excuse herself and go home ahead of them when Charlene suddenly talked to her.

"There's a package for you back there in my condo. It's been there since last week. Sorry forgot to tell you about it the last time we met. I just get so busy working on a new music video." Charlene said.

"No worries. I can drop by one of these days to get it."

"I think you should get it now, I think it's important. It's from Seoul General Hospital, some documents I guess. If they are your lab results, I sure do hope it's nothing serious." Charlene said scornfully.

Did she just hint sarcasms in her voice? This irked Dara a bit so she wasn't able to control herself when she snapped back at her. "If you think it might be something important, why tell me about it just now?" Dara said acidly. She's already on attack mode to whatever Charlene might say back but as soon as she saw the disapproving look from her uncle, she stood down.
Just when she thought Charlene has changed, she is now back to her old bitchy version. Why? What is it about this time that triggered her obvious resentment of me again? Dara asked herself.
Is she jealous she stays with their parents and she's not? That she gets to spend more time with them than her? Sometimes, her sister's irrationality makes her want to strangle her.

"What package would that be and why would it come from Seoul General Hospital? Are you sick Dara?" Aunt Meng asked worry evident in her face thanks to her no-good sister.

"Ahneeyo, Auntie. I just requested some documents as my reference for a case study I will do next semester." She made up an excuse. Well, she's getting good with coming up with excuses lately, she's even starting to beleive her own lies. Not that she likes it at all.

"I'll go then to your place tonight to get them." Dara told Charlene.

"Why don't you just go there together after dinner." Suggested Uncle Min.

"No, I'm fine." Dara said.

" Whatever!" Charlene spat.

They simultaneously responded.

Dara heard his uncle heave a big sigh and when she looked at him, she saw sadness and exasperation in his face. She's sure he's had enough of their bickering so Dara agreed to go ride with Charlene.

After their dinner, their parents went ahead while she and Charlene made their way to the parking area. When they reached the spot where Charlene's car is, Dara was surprised when Charlene tossed to her the car keys before getting in the passenger's side.

"Ugh" Dara said while rolling her eyes. She can't take this girl.

Dara positioned herself into the driver's seat and revved up the engine of Charlene's Jaguar. Although she knew for a fact that Charlene meant to torment her that's why she's making her the driver, Dara finds the entire experience enjoyable. Dara happened to be a very good driver so soon enough, she is accelerating, swerving and changing lanes so fast, Charlene was holding on tightly to her seat in no time. Dara laughs so hard seeing the cool leader of the hottest Korean Girl group, scream in fear.

As soon as they reached the elevator, Charlene yanked the keys from her hands and Dara can't help but let out a giggle. Serves you right. Dara thought. Charlene just pouted and kept quiet.
