The next day she went to his house before sunrise again and to keep herself from falling asleep, she waited for him at his front door. After an agonizing hour of standing and waiting, Jiyong finally emerged from the inside.

Jiyong was surprised when he saw Dara outside his door as soon as he opened it but he pretended not to care.

He just passed by her and as if he didn't see her.

"Are you going somewhere again?" Dara asked calmly. Hiding her irritation that he's ignored her.

"None of your buisness." Jiyong replied as he head towards his car.

Dara quickly followed him and almost bumped to his back when he suddenly stopped.

She then took a few steps back before saying, "You can't do this Jiyong. You can't avoid me forever. " She softly said.

When Jiyong did not react, she quickly added, "You need to get your memories back and I am here to help you." Dara said almost pleading.

"Who says I need your help?!" was Jiyong's sarcastic reply which took Dara by surprise.

"And who says I wanted to have my memories back?" Jiyong spun around this time and stepped closer to where Dara is.

Dara got stuck to where she stood. She couldn't say anything.

"Does it ever occur to you that maybe, just maybe, I didn't want those memories back!? They could mean nothing to me that is why I forgot them in the first place." Jiyong said acidly then turned back towards his car.

"That's not true Jiyong." Dara said softly, convincing herself more with her words than Jiyong.

The pain that he heard as Dara said those words made him stop at his tracks. Something about the way Dara says his name, makes him yearn for her.

"Memories no matter how painful or bad they are, are part of who we are. We can't always have good memories you know. As a matter of fact, bad ones makes us appreciate the good ones. " Dara said, full of emotions.

She wanted so desperately for Jiyong to remember. To regain that lost memory because she is part of that memory.

Jiyong said nothing and just went inside his car. But Dara's not about to give up.

"Jiyong wait!" Dara shouted but Jiyong's already drove off.

No. Her mind screamed. She couldn't give up. Not now.

She can set aside her hope of Jiyong ever returning her feelings--of him loving her back, but as a doctor, her pride is on the line. This is the first case she is trusted to handle. She can't fail.

Besides, she didn't go all the hardships in med school just so he can treat me like this. Dara thought.

Jiyong is on the other hand is feeling confused. There is a part of him that liked the idea of Dara being around. Of her being near. He is confused because he is trying so hard to distance himself from her, but his silly heart seems to grew fonder of her. And admittedly, he doesn't want to remember because when he does, Dara's work is done and that she'll have to leave. For some reason, he doesn't want her to leave.

However, there is also this persistent part of him that badly wants him to remember. He wanted to know if the memories and visions he has of Dara is real or just purely his imagination.

He is so preoccupied while driving, he didn't realize he was going so slow. Then something caught his eye when he looked at his side mirror, he blinked and looked closely and he was couldn't believe what he is seeing.
