We Meet Again - Kylo Ren and Rey

Departing and Searching

                       ~six months later~

The village of the island Ahch-to

Rey grabbed her new lightsaber, clipping it to her belt. Master Luke had helped her make it. It was a double-bladed yellow saber with a golden hilt. Her eyes grazed over her long fabric she wore on Jakku before deciding on her grey vest. She grabbed the vest from the hook on the wall and pulled it on over her white tunic and signature arm wraps. She picked up her brown bag, slinging it over her shoulder.

"Chewie, I'm ready!" She called, pushing open the door. "Did you pick up Finn?"
Chewbacca growled in a "yes" response.
"And you left Artoo with Luke, right?"
He nodded with a whimper. 
"Alright, good. Come on."
He followed Rey down the many steps leading to the base of the mountain, where the Millennium Falcon was parked. Chewie pulled down the entry ramp to the Falcon and the two boarded the ship.

Rey hung her bag on a hook in the hallway as Chewbacca closed the door. She turned to head towards the cockpit.
"Finn!"
Finn had stepped out into the hallway to greet Rey. She hugged him, glad to see her friend again.
"Alright, let's get going," she said to him.
"I assume you'll be taking position as pilot?" He asked Rey.
"Yes, and Chewie will be my copilot," she replied. "All right, Chewie?"
He nodded and grunted in reply.
"Ok, here we go," said Rey enthusiastically, taking her seat at the controls. She flipped on several switches and the cockpit lit up with a few beeps. In a few moments, Rey had the Falcon in lightspeed heading towards the Resistance Base.

"Almost there!" Rey yelled to Finn. "Chewie, prepare to drop out of lightspeed."
He placed his hand on the lever.
"Annnnd....now!" Rey commanded.
Chewie grunted and pulled the lever.
The ship slowed down, dropping out of lightspeed instantly. The planet of D'Qar, home to the Resistance Base, zoomed into focus.

Rey positioned the ship towards the planet and soon they entered the atmosphere. She flew the ship through the sky until the Resistance Base came into view.
"Here we are!" She told the crew, landing the ship in the designated visitor's section. She shut off all the controls and the lights in the Falcon dimmed.
"Come on," Rey told Chewie.
He got up and followed her out.
Finn met them outside the cockpit and the group headed out the door.

They made their way to the main control room, where General Leia told them she would be waiting. As they entered the room through the large open doors, Rey saw Leia having a conversation with a group of men in pilot uniforms. As they got closer to the group, Rey could overhear parts of the conversation.
"...should be able to find him..."
"...dark planet...rain..."
"...but we don't know...name of..."
"...you said Kylo Ren would..."
"Rey! Finn! Oh, hello, Chewie," greeted Leia, stopping the conversation upon seeing the approaching trio.
She motioned for them to come.
"These men, along with a few others, will help you three. Now, tell me again what you are looking for, just to make sure we are all on the same page here, and we will help you."

"I know you won't necessarily like this, but we're looking for a planet," Rey began. "A planet that would probably be the secret base of Snoke and the training place of Kylo Ren."
Leia sighed.
"I know..." Leia began. "I know it's the only way. Just..." She lowered her voice, "try to bring him home, Rey. Try to bring him back." She looked at Rey, her eyes pleading. Rey nodded, sympathetic.  

Leia spoke up again. "We've been searching for a long time for a planet that seems suitable for such conditions. My research team has discovered a planet in the uncharted regions, but we don't know the name of it. We haven't found it until now because it was hidden to us by the Force, which seems fishy to me, therefore probably making it the planet you're looking for. We've got a team ready to go as soon as you want to."
Rey grinned.
"Let's go now, since everything is ready. You guys up for that?"
"Oh yeah!" Said Finn with enthusiasm.
Chewie roared in approval.
"Let's GO!" One of the pilots yelled, waving at the group to follow him. The other pilots ran after him. Rey stood for a second, smiling at Leia for a moment before turning around and heading out with the group.

The company headed to the hangar where the pilots were getting ready to depart. There was a certain familiar curly brown-haired pilot waiting for them by his X-Wing ship.  Poe Dameron ran to Finn, grabbing hold of his arms before pulling him into a hug.
"It's so good to see you again!" He said to Finn.
"You too, Poe!" Finn replied.
"Ready to do this thing?" Poe asked, looking around to the group, then back to Finn.
"As I'll ever be." He replied with a grin.

"Ok then, let's go!" Poe said. "I assume you three will be taking the Millennium Falcon. You'll just follow the rest of the X-Wings. Once you see the planet, keep on flying towards it. My men and I will hang back and intervene only if things turn nasty, to minimize the chance of being seen and losing the element of surprise."
Rey nodded.
"Ready to go?" She said, turning to Finn and Chewbacca.
They both nodded.
"Alright!"
They ran to the Falcon, parked not too far away.
The pilot leaders called out commands.
"Red squadron, check. Prepare for takeoff."
"Blue Squadron, ready to go."
"In formation five!"

The three reached their ship, climbing aboard and taking their seats in the cockpit. Rey turned on all the necessary controls, lighting up the control board. She steered the ship towards the back of the group of X-Wings and took off after them. Soon the group was flying towards the mysterious planet at lightspeed.
