Trapped and Helpless

Rey awoke to the clanking sound of boots on metal, then the flickering as fluorescent lights appeared above and around her. She lifted her head to look around, only to see blurry shapes. Her head was throbbing, pulsing pain running throughout her skull with every heartbeat. She rubbed her eyes, trying to clear her vision. She was able to make out enough to tell that this was not her room. She looked around at a square room, covered in plates of dark metal. She was sitting on a bed, or at least, what had to be a bed. It was more like a slab of metal hanging from the wall covered in a blanket or two.

What is this place? What is going on?

Hux.

Kylo. Shot.

Kylo...

Captured.

Rey jolted upright, sending her head spinning. Her loose and messy hair fell in front of her face as she staggered around until she regained her balance. When she did, she immediately went to the door, running her fingers along the edge to try to find a way out. She could see the heavy bolts through a narrow gap. It was nearly a solid block of metal. Impenetrable. She sat back down on the bed, dejected and hopeless.

~~~
She was jolted awake by the loud clanging of the door being opened. Had I fallen asleep?  She thought. A stormtrooper clad in clean, shining armor entered the room, a blaster by his side. A glimmer of hope entered Rey's heart.
"Where am I?" she asked.
"The Supreme Leader's star destroyer."
Rey's eyes widened.
Star Destroyer.
"You will drop your weapon and leave," Rey commanded, channeling the force. The stormtrooper's mask revealed nothing.
"Your tricks will not work on me, silly force-user. The Supreme Leader requests you see him at once. Come with me."
Rey's heart dropped. The trooper grabbed her and handcuffed her, the links glowing with a soft blue light as they snapped and locked shut. He led her through many hallways adorned with red lights, passing stormtroopers and First Order workers as they walked.
At last they reached a set of grand doors at the end of a hallway. The stormtrooper opened a hatch with a key and pressed a button. Rey memorized the key. The doors shot open, revealing a long table with Hux at the head.
The Supreme Leader waved at the stormtrooper, who then bent down and unlatched her bonds. The blue light faded as they cracked open. The trooper left the room, shutting the door behind him. Rey rubbed her wrists, hurting from the strain of trying to break them open while they traveled. Hux motioned for her to come closer, and she sat to his left.
"I hope you weren't being too difficult on your way over." Hux glared at her.
"What do you want?" Rey snapped.
"I want you to cooperate. Be at least somewhat manageable while enjoying your stay here. That way you will cause no trouble and be easy bait for Kylo Ren."
"No," Rey shook her head in disbelief. "Don't do this! What reasons do you have for hating him so much?"
"It gets tiring always being under the wonderful Kylo Ren." Hux spat out his name as if it were poison. "And you...you embarrassed me, leading FN-2187 to safety with the droid!"  Hux was seething with anger. "And once he is dead," Rey felt goosebumps cover her arms. "You will realize how foolish and weak the light side is. You will become my apprentice, and you will work for me."
"You will never go through with this plan, Hux. Kylo is smart... the Resistance is smart," Rey said, trying more to convince herself than him. He laughed at her words.
"We will see," is all he said in response.
He pressed a button on the table and the doors opened, letting the stormtrooper back inside.
"Take her back to her cell," commanded Hux.
The stormtrooper came forward and handcuffed Rey again, the cuffs once again emitting the blue light.
He shoved her into the cell, bolting the heavy door closed. Rey sat down on the bed, her head in her hands, sitting in silence.
