Chapter twenty-nine.

Once i got back up to the hotel room we where staying in i decided against going back to bed. I didn't want to be near Harry. I needed time to think.

'What are you doing Kyla?' I jumped, i expected everyone to be in bed. But there Niall was, sitting on the couch.

'Um nothing. I just cant ah...sleep.' I said, my mind wasn't really with it. He just looked at me worriedly.

'What are you doing up at this time dude?' I asked sitting down next to him.

'I decided to fly Mel over here, you know so you girls could get to know her.' He said nervously, like he thought we wouldn't approve of her.

'Plus it sucks being here while all the other boys have their girlfriends.' He added. I just smiled.

'Don't worry Niall, i'm sure we will all get along great with Mel!' I look of relief swept across his face.

'Anyway, her plane will be getting in soon.' He said getting up off the couch next to me. He started walking out of the room before he stopped.

'Did you want to come with me to pick her up?' He asked, i just nodded. I would do anything to be out of here and away from Harry for a bit.

Once we arrived at the airport, we waited patiently at the gate her plane was said to land at. Niall couldn't keep still, i wasn't sure if he was nervous or just excited.

'Are you alright Niall?' I said turning to him. But his eyes looked straight past me.

'There she is.' He whispered. I turned around to see a gorgeous girl. Her eyes filled with love as she looked at Niall. I sat there awkwardly as they greeted each other with hugs and kisses. Niall lead her over to me.

'Mel this is Kyla, Harrys girlfriend.' Niall introduced us. I felt sick at the mention of Harrys name. I felt my head become lighter and lighter and before i knew it my vision was black.

'Kyla! Kyla! Wake up Kyla!' I heard a familiar Irish accent as someone shook me. I forced my eyes open revealing Mel and Niall crouched over me, as well as some other on lookers.

'What happened?' I said trying to sit up, but the spinning in my head stopped me from doing so.

'You randomly passed out. I have no idea why!' Niall explained. I felt a little embarrassed. Before i could say or do anything Niall had picked me up in his arms and started making his way out of the airport.

Thats when things got awkward. Mel should of been the one in his arms, not me. I felt bad.

We got in the car and Niall said something quietly to the driver before getting in next to Mel.

'Sorry to ruin the moment guys.' I said apologetically. Mel smiled, while Niall looked at me worriedly.

'I'm fine.' I mouthed. I decided to give the two love birds a chance to catch up. I looked at the window, enjoying the beautiful sights of New York City!

'Well i don't know about you two, but im starving!' Niall said as the car stopped. Mel and I got out and followed Niall into an unfamiliar food place. It was pretty much empty since it was at least 2am. We headed for a booth at the back, just in case some crazy 1D fans were on the prowl.

I hated being the third wheel. And right now thats what i was. I sat across from Niall and Mel awkwardly, trying not to watching them as the made out like crazy.

'Ahemm.' The waitress said from the edge of our table, carrying a massive tray of food for Niall. After a few seconds Niall pulled away from Mel looking around embarrassed.

'Enjoy your meal.' Said the waitress as she placed down the tray. Niall mumbled a thanks and dug straight in.

'I think you need to tell me whats going on Kyla.' Niall said as he took a sip of his drink. I thought it out for a second. I knew i could trust Niall, he was like my big brother. And i knew Mel probably wouldn't go blabbing to everyone.

'Okay well before, Harry got a message from Caroline. And i got really curious, so i read the message. She wanted him to go down to her hotel room. I got really mad and decided to go down there myself. Anyway fast forward past the arguement as i was walking away i told her to stay away from Harry because he isn't interested and she said something along the lines of 'Thats not what he was saying the other night.' So yeah...' I finishes, out of breath.

Nialls mouth just dropped.

'Please tell me you know he hasn't had anything to do with Caroline since they broke up?' I asked Niall. All i could hope was that he said no.

'Umm..' He started.
