Chapter 10: Waking up

I don't know how long I was passed out for but when I woke up I could see and hear better. My senses instantly drew me towards Jack and the aroma that his blood gives off. He watches me carefully as I move more fluidly almost like a hunting cat, I stop when I realize what I was about to do and jerk away from him only to end up on the other side of the room.

"Whoa Autumn take it easy. You're hungry right? Let's get Angel and go out hunting." Jack moves towards me slowly and carefully with his hands up like he doesn't mean me harm.

I nod keeping my attention on not biting him as one bite from me now will kill him almost instantly. I let him take my hand and lead me down the hall towards Angel's room. He knocks on the closed door and within a few seconds the door is flung open and torn off of the hinges and Angel appears holding it his eyes wide. 

"Autumn please tell me you're going through this yourself." 

"Yes now can we hunt?" I manage to hiss out from between my clenched teeth as it is the only way for me to not bite Jack who steps farther away from me and releases my hand. 

Angel nods and him and I are gone out of the house before Jack can follow us, we run laughing to New York city and only stop once we get to Central Park. Angel and I prowl the trails and the secluded areas of the park and eventually find a couple and then we fall on them from the trees and the last sound they let out is a short surprised screech as our teeth bite into their necks. Once we are done feeding I pull away from my victim and look at Angel then smile.

"Race you back home!" I turn and start to run away when all of a sudden we are surrounded by werewolves.

"Ugh great mutts." Angel growls.

 "Oh don't worry about them we can kill them if need be but they won't hurt us." I start to move towards the one wolf when all of a sudden a giant white wolf, obviously the alpha of the pack, moves into my path.

All we hear from around us is a chorus of growling, I roll my eyes and place my hands on my hips and glare at the wolf in front of me. Angel growls back making me giggle slightly.

"What does the big bad wolf want?" I raise an eyebrow and put my head to the side watching the alpha wolf.

I want you bloodsuckers off of my land.

"Yeah we were just about to leave when you stupid mutts decided to stop us." Angel growls.

Is this true?

"Uhm duh." I watch him marveling over the smooth velvety voice that I hear in my head as he talks to us.

He dips his head as an apology and steps out of my way his pack doing the same. As angel and I pass him I place a hand on his head and ruffle his fur before we disappear with laughter. We end up back at home before Jack has even locked up and I laugh even more when he jumps as we run past him.

"Christ guys! Give a wolf some warning!"

"Shouldn't you be able to smell us coming?" I giggle as I return to his side and wrap my arms around his waist.

"Well it would help if the wind wasn't blowing towards you and away from me." Jack sighs wrapping his arms around me and placing a kiss on the top of my head making me smile.

"Excuses excuses wolf boy. Oh yeah we ran into a pack of your kind in Central Park today."

"What were you two doing in New York?!?" Jack looks at me his eyes wide.

"Hunting obviously Jack. Chill nothing happened the alpha of that pack just wanted to make it known that he doesn't want us to go back there. We got our feeding out of it though and I'm much happier now."

"Mhmm you guys met an alpha wolf and they didn't do anything to you?"

"Not one thing, we literally told them that we were going to leave but they had stopped us from leaving. I don't think he realized who we are though as he didn't have any real clue in his voice, but then again he could have I can't really tell I'm not really one that can understand wolves easily except you." I look up at Jack with a smile on my face as I try to be cute so he won't stay angry at me.

He sighs and kisses my nose, "I'm just glad that they didn't hurt you I honestly don't know what I would do without you in my life Autumn. I love you too much to lose you."

I shiver when he places a hand on my cheek and his thumb rubs along my cheek bone, as my eyes flutter closed I hear a gagging sound from Angel and my eyes fly open again. I turn and glare at my brother making him take a step back as he knows not to upset me as I have always been the stronger one of us. I smirk then turn back and snuggle my face into Jack's chest to relax as I breath in his scent. I look up at the door when I hear the fall of padded paws on the stairs then there is a bark and a voice enters my head.

I followed you from New York you dropped this.

"It's the alpha! He followed us Angel, one of us dropped something apparently."

"Wait the alpha from the New York City pack is here? Crap." Jack backs away from the front door as I walk towards it.

I open the door to see a sturdy built brick of a man standing on my front porch and I look up at his face and gasp then I look back at Jack and my eyes widen even more as I realize something.

A/N: Hey guys I need to apologize to you again for not uploading this chapter sooner I have just had a very crazy life as of late and my writers block has been worse than ever but I'm glad that I was able to get this chapter out for you guys today. Again I am sorry for the late upload.
