Chapter 19

***WARNING! GRAPHIC CONTENT! BLOOD GORE Etc!!!***

"Princess!" I hear as I start to come to.

"Her name is Autumn now get out of my way!"

I feel hands change and suddenly I'm looking up at Jack who is holding me against his chest and looks totally freaked out. I reach up and place my hand on his cheek, making him look down at me in surprise.

"Autumn!"

"Yeah sorry for freaking you out but that bell was way too loud for me..." I look at Peyton expecting an explanation about the bell.

"I actually have no idea why it's that loud in here I shall get it fixed as soon as possible. Until then would you like to take your meals in your rooms until it is fixed then you are more than welcome to. Heck you could even take your meals in the entertainment room if it pleased you." he smiles trying to cover up the fact that it hurt him too making me look around for Angel.

"Angel!" I gasp when I see him on his knees a dazed look on his face.

I squirm out of Jack's arms and dash towards Angel having to slide on my knees to get to him before he falls and smashes his head. I wince as I feel the sting of wood and look at the older floor and silently curse it as I move Angel's head onto my lap and brush his hair out of his eyes. I place both my hands on either side of his head and bend touching his forehead with my own and I close my eyes concentrating on connecting our third eyes so that I could calm him.

"Hush brother you're ok. Come back to us Angel." I call out with my mind and I feel him respond slightly.

I break away and watch him with bated breath, I relax when his eyes flutter and his breathing starts again. He looks at me as I smile down at him.

"Are you ok Autumn I saw you crumple as soon as the bell went off then it all went black." Angel shifts slightly making the pieces of wood dig deeper into my legs which makes me wince slightly.

"Yes I'm ok Angel, are you sure you're ok?" I watch him worried but he frowns at me.

"You're not ok, you're hurt! Autumn what did you do?!?" Angel growls getting up off of my lap.

"I had to slide to catch you before you fell over." I uncurl my legs from beneath me and flinch slightly at the scene.

I look behind me and see a bloody trail from where I slid to save Angel, then back down at my legs that have quite a few layers of skin peeled away my socks shreds not much help after all. I look up at Jack and Peyton as they advance and I smile slightly before I slump over unable to stay sitting up anymore. Angel catches me and picks me up, growling as Jack tries to take me from his arms.

"Jack fuck off this is my sister, she did this to save me keep your paws off of her this time. Peyton show me the way to the nurse!" Angel growls at them his face hard and determined making me smile.

"Perfect older brother."

"Only older than you by a minute Autumn and yet you were the one born with the birthmark of the royal house." he smiles down at me his love for me clear in his eyes.

"Brother you need not be scared for me you know...I just need some blood and rest then I'll be alright."

"I'd rather a nurse take those splinters out of your legs. We lost mom and dad don't make me lose you too Autumn." his silver eyes are serious and I can see the pain that the thought if me being dead and him being alone frightens him so I manage to wrap an arm around his shoulders and hug him lightly.

"You will never be alone brother, even though you are not to be King you will have a room in my castle and you may still keep the prince title but you can be my advisor. You've known me my whole life and you know how to put things forward to me in the right ways and you also know how to get through my thick headedness." I smile.

"You know I wouldn't mind that terribly. I should see if I can get caught up on my schooling here so that I can take the right courses to be able to help you and understand everything. It means I'll have to get started right away but it will be worth it in the end no?" I watch his brows knit together and I sigh.

"Angel relax get me to the nurse then go and get your courses ready, take Jack with you would you? I'm afraid that with just Peyton and him there without a third party that can interfere they'll rip each other apart."

"Of course, but why Jack?"

"I haven't seen Peyton in years it'll be good to get caught up with him and get the downlow of this school. Besides Jack has a map so you don't really need Peyton."

"That's true."

"Also you have to apologize for how you spoke to him so there's your chance." I narrow my eyes at him and he starts to open his mouth to object but the objection dies as quickly as it started.

"Yes Autumn." 

"We are here, bring her in this door I'll run ahead and get a doctor!" Peyton disappears too quickly to notice me freeze up.

Quick little tid bit, I have a fear of doctors but not nurses, odd yes I know but hey we all have our phobias and they are unexplainable. I look at Angel as he stiffens as well and looks down at me worry in his eyes as he knows if he leaves me in the hands of a doctor without him or Jack there I'll go beserk. Every time a doctor came into school I had to be by one of them, it makes me feel safe when I feel threatened.

"Autumn I can stay until the doctor is gone if you'd like."

My eyes widen as he starts to walk forward and I start to squirm.

"NO! No doctors!"

"Autumn relax I'm here and Jack will be soon too. I won't leave your side until the doctor is gone."

"B-but your classes."

"Don't worry about it Autumn, if my twin sister needs me I'm there now stop squirming and let me take you in there."

I do as I'm told but I snuggle closer to him my eyes wide and unblinking as I scan the room for any doctors. I jump slightly when Peyton appears again from down a hallway with a doctor with a wheelchair behind him. I refuse to leave Angel's arms and he quickly explains the fact that I am afraid of doctors and if I were to be separated from him it would be all the worse for them. Then he asks Peyton to wait here for Jack who would no doubt be there soon. I watch in a daze as he carries me down the hall following the doctor into a room with a bed and sterilized tools making me whimper softly.

"It's ok Autumn relax. Doc do you have anything to put her under?"

I don't hear the response but soon a mask is over my mouth and nose and a funny tasting gas is pouring into my lungs and then I'm out.
