Chapter 24-hey hey hey question clif

Vincent's POV

We finally make it back to camp after our eight hours of sleep and two hours of walking. We are the first ones back but we see the bus so we know we are in the right place. Callie really did pay attention when we were walking. I wonder when the others will arrive.

"What do we do now?"Logan questions.

"We wait,"Callie says sitting down on the ground.

"That's boring though,"Tanner complains and laughs.

"Then think of something to do in the mean time,"Callie suggests.

I sit down on the ground too, but I am smart so I go in the shade. I stretch out my legs and start to relax my body. I need some peace and quiet but I know I am not going to get that so I might as well just sit here and see what happens. Vanessa walks over to me and sits down. Well, this could be a form or relaxation for me.

"Wanna play twenty questions?"She questions.

"How do you play it. I know there are many ways,"I smile.

"Just ask each other questions. I guess it doesn't really have to be called twenty questions. How about we each ask a question give an answer and yeah,"She suggests and I nod and she smiles.

"Okay. What is your favorite color?"

"I like red,"I answer.

"I like purple,"She answers her own question.

"What is your favorite food?"I ask.

"Nachos."She states and lets out a small laugh and I nod. "You?"

"Steak,"I reply and she gives me a little smile and nods.

"What is your favorite day of the week?"

"Sa-Friday,"I answer and she looks shocked.

"Really I thought it would be Saturday, mine is,"She tells me.

"Yeah, I like Fridays a little more. I don't know why I just do,"I shrug and she nods. I try to think of a deeper question. "What is your favorite family member,if you have one?"I question.

"Well I was always a daddy's girl,"She smiles and I smile back.

"I would have to say my "brother" we always had good times."

"Nice. Um..how easy do you get angry?"She stutters a little bit.

"Um on a scale from 0-10, 10 being the most calm. I would have to say it depends how stupid the situation is or bad how it is. Most of the time...about a five. When dealing with idiots a three,"I state my honest opinion and she nods. She lets out a small laugh.

"I would have to say idiots-2 and generally 4. I get mad pretty easily,"She honestly admits and I nod at her answer.

"How and when did you find out you were coming here?"

"Let's see...I found out a week before. My mom just sort of told me one day and she also said that I had to deal with it,"She shrugs. "Nothing like some of other people's stories,"She says.

"I see. Well I was flipped out of my bed and my dad shoved me in a car and that was it,"I tell her and she looks at me for a moment.

"Wow, my story is nothing compared to yours,"She nods. "Anyway, who are your top three closest friend here?"She questions raising an eyebrow and I give her a smile. She got me really thinking.

"You, Tanner....and Patrick,"I nod after thinking about it.

"I would have to say Callie and Crystal,"She picks.

"Okay now for the opposite. Who are your least favorite people here?"I ask digging for the dirt. Just kidding, but seriously I want to know other people's opinions on certain people. "Oh and why,"I add for certain reasons so I don't jump to conclusions.

"Um...Gianna because she talks just a little too much for me. She is alright just not for me. Probably Luke too. He is so full of himself. Callie tells me he is sweet but I don't know,"She laughs and I nod.

"Okay I am gonna have to go with Autumn because she seems to be always in a unsettling mood. She is cool and all just my least favorite. I would also have to say Luke for the same reason. We talk all the time and I get headaches. Like you said though, I don't dislike these people, they are just my least favorite,"I shrug.

"Okay w-

"Help!"We hear a scream and I jump out of my socks. Oh look, I am not wearing any. Wait why am I not wearing any socks right now? I am going to have blisters or something s-

"Help!"We hear again and I stop my sock thoughts and follow the path of people who are near the edge of the cliff. I have never seen this cliff before. How in the world did this happen.

"What happened?"Ariel asks concerned as I look down to see the problem. Shelby and Callie are hanging off the edge. My eyes widen as I watch the image and watch as people try to help.

"We were practicing our powers and mine went all crazy,"Callie explains and we all nod as we grab a gigantic branch. I don't think I have seen or felt a heavier and bigger branch in my life.

We all put the branch down and Callie and Shelby grab on. Callie is more towards the edge and Shelby is in the middle so we try to balance the branch a little more before bringing it up.

Just when we are about to bring it up we hear a crack and fear and panic spreads across all of our faces. We try to locate where the sound came from but we don't know until Shelby's hand falls and a peace of what they are holding into breaks making the branch smaller. It also makes it more balanced again though.

We manage to get them up using all of our strength. "The branch was either weighed 100 pounds or you two together weight way too much,"Sonya jokes and we all laugh except them.

"Not funny,"Shelby shakes her head but smiles.

"I guess not,"Sonya sighs jokingly.

We all let out deep breathes and look around trying to calm down. I look around and sigh as I tie my shoe that somehow came undone in all the lifting chaos. Don't ask because I would never he able to tell you how. That and why I don't have socks on my feet.

"They still aren't back huh?"I ask amazed.

"Nope,"Logan and Tanner sigh.

I walk back over to the tree and Vanessa looks hesitant but then follows me over. She sits down and we sit there for a minute before either of speak. "Want to continue asking questions or nah?"

"Sure,"I smile and we play again.

I guess this was my form of relaxation.
