Zodiac Boarding

Chapter 31-Yellow...Yellow...Yellow! Purple and red!

Crystal's POV

"To find the sign of Cancer you must find a river bank near the grass. There will be a gigantic tree, the tallest out of all the trees,"I read the card.

"Good luck!"Clayton adds and everyone nods and starts looking around their surroundings. More water!

Yay!

"More Water?"Collin complains.

"What do you expect?"Vanessa laughs.

"It is an island,"Callie points out to him.

"Nah it is an atoll!"Luke shouts.

"No! It is an Island!"Sonya snaps.

"Neither!"Austin suggests.

"I don't care what it is. I just need to it to be stabilized and safe!"Tess slaps Luke and Sonya on the backs and walks ahead of them. I sit back and watch the fun. This should be interesting.

"Who made you the boss?"Sonya asks putting her hands on her hips but Tess is too far ahead to hear her.

"Hey I agree! Everybody needs to calm down because things are going to need patience and time,"Lindsey points out.

"I agree!"Lyla says walking up on the side of Sonya and I. I am just looking out for a river and a humongous tree.

I walk a little ahead and try not to step in the disgusting pieces of leaves with seaweed, shells, and dirt. It is a mixture of a dirty beach and a dirty lake combined and it is making my stomach weak. We can't let Patrick see this! He is probably trying to hold back his barf as we speak. I just want to clean my shoes off. I wish I could have known we were doing this. I was wearing white sneakers this morning but now they have magically turned into a smudged dirt look. It looks very colorful and different, I didn't ask for a new design.

"I found some trees!"Aden calls out and we all look in the direction he is looking.

"Nice!"Tanners claps and we all start to walk faster. I guess seeing our destination gives us more motivation. Or at least focusing on the area. We can't tell which tree it is yet or anything. Maybe if we would have done these in order it would he a lot easier. Nope! People want to be first and last. Then you have the ones who want their own personal group but most of us want to stick as one whole. It is the least common vote and I think for his mission it is better and best if we stick together.

After twenty minutes of walking I think we have found the biggest tree. It is really tall and I think I can see a card. Autumn and Gavin go and retrieve it and it feels like they left the island. The tree is so wide if a kid was playing peek a boo they might think you are gone forever. Is there a secret club in there or something? It sure is big enough!

"So what is the plan?"Gianna pipes up after we See Gavin and Autumn come back. Maybe it goes to Narnia? Autumn takes the card from Gavin and reads.

"It says that each person needs to pick a flower on the outskirts of the river and bring it back,"She starts using her own words. "Yeah yeah yeah. So basically we need to pick a flower and bring it back here to put around the tree. I don't see the purpose but okay.

"Well let's get moving!"Samuel claps trying to get us to quickly get one.

I head south and start to look for maybe even a little flower. Maybe even a dandelion will do in this case. I would be fine with that because I don't know how someone is going to just find a perfect rose in the middle of some random grass. Who even knows on this island though. I don't even know where we are. We might be on another "planet" or something for all I know.

After five minutes of trying to find something a lot harder than it sounds, I bring back a yellow sunflower. It looks like a lot of other people had the same idea when I see yellow almost everywhere. We all quietly stand there awkwardly as we wait for the stragglers who are still trying to find some. They are usually in groups so I don't see the problem. Then again I almost walked right over the one that I found.

Ariel walks up to all of us and we all watch the flower that is in her hand. I want that one! I don't mean in a whinny way, I just want to be different. However, I have many other times I can be different though.

"I guess I didn't get the memo,"Ariel says holding up a purple flower.

"Where did you even find that?"Shelby question as we all look interested at her discovery. I much rather bring back that than this basic sunflower. I have nothing against them but there is no originality here when it comes to
flowers. Well at least not too many.

"In between some rocks,"She shrugs but smiles at the same time.

"You just had to be different, huh?"Vincent asks jokingly but at the same time I think he is a little serious. I think we all kinda wanted to find different flowers. At least more than one person. Besides that purple flower all that we have are dandelions and sunflowers. That is okay though.

"I did too!"Paige laughs showing up with a red rose and we all look astonished. Where are they finding these random flowers? I want one! I love roses! I love the scent they give.

"Nice!"I smile and clap.

"Are we all here?"Lyla questions as we all look around and start counting.

"It looks that way,"Logan shrugs.

"Where is Callie?"Shor asks and that is when Patrick and Callie show up each with roses. Alright at least we have a little bit more variety. It is sad that Patrick wasn't even remembered though. I am sure soon enough we would have noticed. I would hope so. I think I would notice pretty quickly.

"We are here!Callie and Patrick both wave and we start to place the flowers down. We take the card, apply the sap and boom! We are done! No more flowers! For now at least!

Okay maybe a flower stem broke and a few petals fell off but who cares!  What matters is that we finished it!

"What's next?"Lyla questions.

"Aries!"Aden and Autumn cheer in unison.
