Vanessa's POV

Shor and Vincent lay out all the cards out and I lay out the map. We all study the cards and try to make sense of what we are close to right now.

After ten quiet minutes of looking at these cards finally someone decides to speak. For once, it wasn't me.

"Well we are more towards the south of the island so we should eliminate all of the trees in the north for now,"Gianna points out. She doesn't usually volunteer thoughts that much but when she does they are helpful.

"We took care of two in the south already anyway so we should just continue as much as we can,"Logan comments and we all agree on that.

"Okay so we have narrowed it down to Taurus, Virgo, and Pisces,"Shor says putting some cards away. He gives the final three cards to Vincent.

"If we don't go to Taurus now we should do it last because it is off course,"Tess informs us. We look at the cards and the map and nod. Yeah that would be a good idea.

"Let's go to Taurus last then,"Tanner nods and we all sit there a little shocked then we nod. We all agree that Taurus should be last so that is one step closer to becoming a team.

"Virgo looks like it might be the closer than Pisces,"Shelby says looking at a map and comparing them to the cards. Vincent looks over his shoulder and nods at Shelby's observation.

"Plus, once we go to Pisces it easier to get to the rest of them,"Collin points out. We look at each and all share a silent nod of respect. I think we might actually be doing a decent job at this!

"Yeah it looks that way to me too,"I nod agreeing and the group nods. We all turn to Vincent who is holding the Virgo card. We stand up and start to get ready to get up and on the move again. I hope we stop for today soon.

"To find the constellation Virgo you must really get to work to find this tree. It will be surrounded with many others, but it will stand out. It is a palm tree and in the middle of the beach. Once you find this tree you must do what is needed,"Vincent reads. I take the map and start to lead the way. If you haven't noticed, I like to be in charge. They are used to it by now so it doesn't annoy them anymore. It annoys Vincent the most. Sometimes we are too similar. We are definitely the same sign for sure!

We start to head towards the middle of the beach. I hate the feeling of walking on seaweed. Even with shoes, it makes them get all icky and gross. I hope this beach is a nice one.

"I think this should be our last one for the day. It is getting late and we are all tired. I am surprised we lasted this long,"Lyla suggests and we all nod. We can all feel the bags forming under our eyes. Yeah I have to say, my body and mind is starting to get tired.

"Yes! Please!"Gianna shouts. A few of us yawn and everybody else laughs.

I think I am finally starting to like most of the people here. When I first came, so many people pissed me off. Now I can say more than half of them I would consider friends. The rest of those people I don't really talk to. I try not to judge but I usually do. I do believe that everyone should be met before judged. I don't always practice what I teach though and it gets to me.

It is just the way I am I guess. I was always told I was a good friend though and a loving person. I just do things that make people mad sometimes. From what I can see though, most people genuinely like me. That makes me happy because back home it was one extreme or the other. There was no in between with me. People either hated me or loved me to death. I learned to deal with it.

"I found the tree!"Austin shouts and we I pat him on the back.

"Nice eyes!"I compliment. I have been trying to do that more as well.

I walk up to it and grab the card. "You must have one person fill there shoes with sand. Have fun!"I read and I feel like cringing. Why is the necessary to collect some tree sap?

"I don't see why any of this stuff needs to be done but I will do this!"Luke nods and we all let him. We aren't going to argue with him for that. I think we are all totally fine with that. He takes his shoes off and starts shoveling sand with his hands.

He puts some in his shoes and continues to fill his shoes. I am not even gonna make a corny joke right now, but I could. "Thanks for taking one for the team!"Callie thanks Luke holding a thumbs up. He smiles and all of us just nod. I don't understand why anyone would volunteer to do that but you know what it shows spirit! It is also shows he is going to have to probably say goodbye to those shoes. They look like they are in rough conditions anyway.

"Done!"Luke bursts out clapping and we all smile. Vincent takes some sap and he puts it on the card.

"I am still wondering how all this works,"Autumn says astonished.

"Me too,"Gavin smiles and nods.

"I am proud of us. We haven't even used our powers yet,"Aden adds. That is true and I don't know why. Did we all forget or did we just not need them? I mean how can you forget that you have powers of your Zodiac? I will be honest, it was actually not on my mind. I didn't forget, just didn't care.

"I am not surprised. You don't need powers to complete something. We used to do everything without them,"Crystals mentions suddenly and we all think about it. It is true.

"Mrs.Astro said we will in the future though,"Lindsey reminds us and we shrug. I smile and watch as Shor pulls out the Pisces card and hands it to Paige. She looks at it and smiles.

"Yes. However, right now we don't,"Paige smiles and nods as she looks at the card.

"Tomorrow we will be even better than today,"Collin says clapping his hands.

"Or worse,"Samuel mumbles.

"Be positive!"Shelby says slapping him lightly and he jokingly stroke the arm that she hit. They are always interesting for me to watch.

"Tomorrow we will go find Pisces and go from there,"Patrick says.

"So where do we want to sleep tonight?"Sonya questions plopping down the sand. "I vote here, it is soft enough for me,"She says sitting up.

"We are going to be uncomfortable no matter where we go so we might as well,"Ariel shrugs and agrees with Sonya. They have a point but I prefer grass. I can't be picky right now though. I am just have to go with it.

"I don't like sand,"Lindsey sighs.

"Neither do I but we are going to deal with it,"I nudge her and I sit down on the rough sand.

"Stop rolling!"

"There is plenty of room, move over."

"I am gonna smack you."

"You better not snore!"

"Everyone needs to shut up!"

This is going to be a long night.
