Chapter 34

*5 Years Later*

Its been 5 years since that day but it feels like it was just yesterday that I lost my daughter .

We never did find her body and that's what tore me apart most but we still had a funeral for her .

To this day I still think about my babygirl , not a day goes by that I don't . I thought I would never have kids again but I thought wrong .

Two months ago I gave birth to twins . Lela Mariah Royce and Lenox Rashad Royce . And let me tell ya it ain't easy , twins are a handful .

KD finally got out the game and we moved to Miami , Florida . Well everybody did except for his parents .

KD's P.O.V

"I'm gone propose to Lani" I said to Liyah . "Oooo yes !! Boud fucking time" she said smiling .

It was time that I stepped up and made her my wife , I loved this girl with erthang in me .

5 years ago I thought I was gonna lose her but she stayed my side through it all . Not day goes by that I don't think of my babygirl , I blamed myself for her death and that's why I left the game .

"Ima need you and Ky to get her to the beach by 4" I said to her .

She nodded , "I got you bro" .

"Where you going KD?" She asked as I put Lela and Lenox in their car seats . "Nowhere we'll be back girl"

"Why can't I go?" She pouted . "Because Liyah and Ky told me they picking you up for a girls day out"

"They didn't tell me that"

"You know how they just pop up and shit" I said opening the front door picking up both car seats .

"Well see y'all later .. I
love yall" She said said from the doorway I smiled . "I love you more ma"

Lani's P.O.V

A little while after KD and the kids left Liyah and Ky showed up .

"Come on girl get ready we going to the beach" Liyah said .

"I still got this baby weight on me ion wanna go the damn beach" I said laughing . "Girl please you look good" Ky said smiling .

"You think so?" I asked touching my stomach . "Yes now go get ready .

KD's P.O.V

I sat a big blanket on the sand then sat both car seats on top . "My nigga finally finna do it , I'm proud of ya man" Killa said laying a blanket out for him and Ky . "Thanks man" .

Quan walked up "Wassup y'all" . Quan and Liyah been dating for about two years now . "Wassup" We said in unison .

Lani's P.O.V

We got out the car walking towards the beach and I saw everybody . KD , the kids , Killa and Quan . I was confused .

We walked towards them . "What y'all doing here?" I asked KD . He smiled at me and got down on one knee pulling out a box I jumped up and down screaming as he opened it .

"Omg" I said covering my mouth and my eyes filled with happy tears .

Everybody stood around smiling even people we didn't know stopped and watched .

Tears ran down my face as I looked away closing my eyes . He grabbed my hand and chuckled , "Look at me ma ."

I wiped my tears with my free hand and looked at him smiling .

"You been through so much in life and I caused you a lot of hurt . But I've grown since then and I now know what I got in front of me . You my world Lani , You gave me my kids and you gave me love and you taught me a lot . You made me change my ways ,that's some I thought I would never do but you came into my life and switched shit around . You deserve the world girl and ima give it to ya no doubt so will you marry me Lanelle Elizabeth Tate?"

"YES YES YES!!" I screamed .

He slid the ring on my finger and got up kissing me as everybody awed and clapped their hands .

"I love you" he said .

"Baby I love you too . I love you so much"

KD and I really went through a lot . At times I thought we wouldn't make it , and at times I thought we weren't meant to be but we were .

Everything we went through made us who we are today . I had everything I ever wanted it in life and I just wished Zel were here with us but I know she's forever here with me In my heart . And we'll meet again one day in heaven , so babygirl save me a spot .

KD and I put each other through hell but in the end we made it out okay . That night 5 years ago I was so tempted to just leave cause I thought I couldn't do it anymore and I'm so glad I didn't cause I wouldn't be where I'm at today .

I love my husband and my kids so much that words can't even explain it .

And I'm thankful everyday that KD showed me that hard thug love .. Because without it I would have nothing .
