Lani's P.O.V

I ran into the hospital with Zel in my arms . I reached the front desk , "Can you tell me what room Kayden-". "Lani!" I hear Killa yell my name. I turned to my right and saw him , KD's parents , Liyah , and Ky sitting in the waiting room.

I walk over to them "what happened Killa" I asked. KD's mom came up to me and grabbed Zel out my arms. "It's gonna be OK babygirl my son is strong I know he will pull through this" she said rubbing my back . I knodded as tears came down my face.

Killa grabbed my hand and led me to a seat I sat down and he sat beside me . "What happened" I asked him again. "We was going to blast these niggas and we shot everybody except one dude and he came out shooting and shot KD 3 times KD fell to the ground gasping for air and I shot the nigga in his head" he said. The tears kept falling , "its gone be OK i know my brother he will make it Lani fuck what the doctors say" . "W-what if he doesn't Killa" I cried . "don't think like that li sis".

*3 hours later*

"Family of Kayden Royce" a tall dark skin doctor said . "that's us" Mr.Royce said as we all stood up. "He is a very strong guy. We were able to remove all 3 bullets and he will OK. He's asleep right now but should be awake within 30 minutes or so and will be able to go home in about a week" he said.

"Omg" I slightly smiled knowing he was ok . "can we see him" I asked the doctor . " yes this way follow me" he said walking off as we all followed him to a room . "thank you" I said to him . "you're welcome" he said with a smile. We all entered the room and took a seat. I sat next to KD's bed waiting on him to wake up.

I'm tired of him risking his life out there in those streets . That shit would stop real soon .

We all sat around and talked til .. "Lani" I hear KD say . "baby you're awake" I said smiling and kissing his cheek. Everybody was happy he was awake . He tried to sit up "ah shit" he said . "no don't move you need to rest baby I know you're in pain" I said trying to stop him. "Girl I'm KD this shit here ain't nothing to me" he said smiling as he sat up . His face showed that he was in pain while trying to sit up but he didn't want to look weak.

"Thats what I'm talking boud son. You're a Royce" His dad said dapping him . "you already know pops" he said and everyone laughed at them .

"Um can I speak with KD in private" I asked everyone . They all nodded and exited the room. "Wassup?" KD asked. "I'm tired of you being in this situation baby. I don't like the way you're constantly risking your li-". "Don't start that shit Lani" he said cutting me off . "I'm not trying to argue with you KD but don't fucking cut me off OK. But this shit has to stop I will not stay around if your gonna keep risking your life like this".

"So wtf you saying huh ? You gone leave me again and take my daughter . You always run from your problems .. You knew what you was getting into when you said yes to being my girl and having my first child you can't just up and walk out my life when shit get hard" he said.

"When shit gets hard? Shit is always hard . I watch you walk out the door everyday not knowing if you're coming back how do you think I feel having to deal with that bs.." I paused , "Its me & Zel or the game" .

"Man Lani I don't have time for yo shit" He said . "well make time nigga cause I always have time for your shit" I said back .

"Know what get the fuck out. Does that answer yo stupid ass question? If you gone leave me leave ! fuck this shit ion need yo ass you ain't committed to me like you say you are if you thinking boud leaving. Might need a new bitch that's gone be down. So if you gone leave take yo ass on but leave my fucking daughter".

When he said those words to me it broke my heart . I felt my eyes fill with tears and they slowly came down my face . I didn't say anything else to him I just walked out the door. "Lani are you OK" Mrs.Royce asked me . I shook my head no . "why you crying mommy" Zel asked . I didn't even know she was up. I only saw his parents so I guess everyone else went home .

"Come on babygirl let's go home and get some sleep" I said grabbing Zel's hands walking off .

KD's P.O.V

"KD what did you say to Lani" my mom asked as she walked in with my dad behind her. . "fuck her" I said pissed off. I know what I said hurt her but she hurt me too trying to leave me again . When I saw those tears fall down her face I wanted to take back what I said so bad but I was so mad I didn't care..

"KD that girl loves you. You gotta stop what you're doing . I bet she asked you to stop the game.. She only asked you to cause she loves you and don't want you to get killed . I asked your dad plenty times and he finally did . You can't live that life forever son" . "I know that mama" I said.

"Well act like it before you lose this girl KD" I listened to what my mom said and she was right .

"Now me and your mom finna go get some sleep we will come on later" my dad said. "Ok" I said. "Love ya" they both said . "love y'all too" I said .

They both left and I laid there in my thoughts until I drifted off to sleep with Lani on my mind. .
