*Two months later*

Lani's P.O.V

I haven't seen or talked to KD since that day . He calls and texts me but I don't respond to him . I've actually started talking to someone else . His name is Brendan and he's so sweet to me .

I stayed with Liyah and Ky til I got on my feet . I got an apartment where they live and I work at footlocker .

I'm not gone lie and say I don't miss KD cause I do . I wish I could be wrapped up in his arms right now but I can't because I refuse to be hurt again . I've been through so much in my life and I don't deserve to have my heart broken ...

Brendan has asked me out but I told him that I'm not ready for a relationship. . Which is a lie , I'm ready for a relationship. . I want to be able to love someone and they love me back . I just have so many trust issues til the point that I don't know if you want to love or hurt me . I'm scared to be hurt so I keep my guard up to protect my heart .

KD's P.O.V

I miss Lani so much words can't explain . I call and text her and she never texts me back . I go to my sisters house just to see if she stops by . But every time I go she's not there .

Every time I ask them where she live they won't tell me . They said she told them not to and if she wanted me to know where she lived she would tell me .

Right now I'm on my way to the trap to check up on things . I pulled up and went inside ignoring everybody. . I looked around and everything is going smoothly .

I went inside my office and sat in my chair . I counted up my money and everything added up right . I needed to relax so I rolled a blunt . I laid back in my seat , closed my eyes and thought about Lani as I smoked the blunt .

As I was smoking my door opened and closed . I opened my eyes and sat up to see Killa . "Wassup nigga" He said dapping me . "Wassup Killa" I said .

I puffed one more time and passed it to him . "You miss her don't you" He said then puffed on the blunt . I sighed , "Yea man I fucked up" I said .

"Help me get her back man. . call and talk-" He cut me off . "Nah nigga. . you got yourself in this you getting yourself out.. Yall gone get back together , Yall made for eachother" He said to me . Hopefully he was right ..

"You gotta treat her right bruh.. She not like these hoes you used to. . She gone be down for you but you gotta be down for her" He added. .

"Thanks bruh but I'm finna go to my sister's house.. Hold it down for me nigga" I said getting up . "KD I love yaaa. . Ima hold it down" he said imitating that video. . I laughed , "Nigga you stupid" I said walking out .

Lani's P.O.V

Right now I'm finna walked around to Ky and Liyah's house and chill . I grabbed my purse and phone then left .

I walked to their door and knocked . "Who is it" I heard Liyah say . "Lani" I replied . She opened the door and smiled , "Wassup girl" She said letting me in . "Hey girl .. Hey Ky" I said to Ky . He eyes was glued to the tv . "Hey Lani" She said not looking away from the tv . I laughed and sat beside her and watched with her .

We were all watching tv when there was a knock at the door . "Who is it" Liyah said getting up . "Your brother. . open up" I heard KD say .

Liyah and Ky looked at me . I got up from the couch and opened the door . I looked at KD and walked passed him .

"Lani" He called out to me . I kept walking .. "Lani" He sais running to me and grabbing my arm . "What!!" I yelled at him . "I'm sorry ok. . Stop running away from me . You know you love me and I love you let's just work this out please"

"I do love you KD but I love myself first .. I can't let you hurt me" I said to him . "I won't hurt you . I learned from it , I won't ever cheat or lie again" He said .

"I just can't KD .. Bye" I said and walked off . It took everything in me not to forgive him and kiss him down . I just want to be in his arms again but I can't do that to myself and I won't .
