Chapter 21

*The next day*

Lani's P.O.V

Jas called me lastnight and asked me If I wanted to go out for dinner to catch up . Of course I said yes ..

Right now Im dropping Zel off at my aunt Jazmin house . She offered to watch her while I go out .

"Ready to see aunt Jaz?" I asked Zel . "Yes!" She replied smiling . I got her out the car and grabbed her bag . We walked up to the door and ringed the doorbell .

Minutes later Aunt Jaz opened the door with a smile . "Hey girl" she replied . We walked inside and Zel instantly ran towards the game room . I laughed at her , "Hey Aunt Jaz" I said facing her . "Girl you ready for your date?" She asked excited .. "We're just catching up its not a date .. Well I dont think it is" I said . "Whatever you know its a date" she said laughing a little . I laughed with her .

"Have you talked to Andre?" I asked her . Andre her son and my older cousin , and the biggest drug lord in Cali . She also has a daughter the same age as me named Breanna .

"He came by yesterday and I told him about your date . And of course he went crazy and said he wants to meet him" she said . I laughed , even though he's only two years older than me and my cousin he acts as if he's my dad .. He's very overprotective over me , thats why I love him .

"Well um I gotta go . I'll see you tomorrow" I said to her . "Alright honey , have fun on your date .. but not TOO much fun" she said causing me to laugh . "You crazy , bye" I said walking out the door . I got in my car and headed back home to wait on Jas .

When I pulled up he was already there and started calling my phone . I answered the phone while I got out the car slowly walking up behind him . "Hello" I answered . "Hey ma , Im outside" he said into the phone . "Me too , turn around" I said laughing . He turned around and laughed . "You look beautiful" he said hugging me . "Thank you , You look good yourself" I replied with a smile .

"I know" he said smirking . "Boy whatever , ready to go ?" I asked . He chuckled and grabbed my hand leading me to his car . He opened the car door and I got in , he closed the door behind me and he got in . He started up the car and pulled out onto the road .

After a couple minutes of driving I asked the question that had been in my head . "So where are we going?" .

"You'll see" He said flashing me a smile and quickly looking back at the road . I smiled to myself and checked my phone .

I noticed I had a message from Breanna . 'Girl my mama just told me you going on a date tonight , have fun .. and call me when you get home I want details' . I slightly laughed and was about to reply until Jas said we was at our destination . I looked up as I put my phone In my purse .

It look really fancy and nice .. He got out the car and walked over to my side . He opened the door and held his hand out for me to grab . I grabbed his hand as he helped me out the car .

We walked into the restaurant hand in hand . We walked up to the host , "Reservation for Riles" he said to her . When she looked up at him a look of fear swept across her face . "U-uh right this way" she said studdering . I looked confused as we followed behind her .

When we got to the table Jas pulled my chair out for me and I sat down . "Thank you" I said to him . He sat down and smiled , "no problem" . "Your waiter will be right with you , what can I get you to drink" she asked still looking scared . "Um coke" Jas said , "sprite please" I said . She nodded and walked off .

"Um Jas why did she look at you like that?" I asked him . "like what ma?" He asked . "As if she was scared of you , do you know her" I asked . "Nah I don't know her" he said avoiding the question I previously asked . I just brushed it off and looked at the menu . The host brung our drinks , I took a sip then continued to look at the menu .

"What are you getting" he asked me . I looked up from my menu and at him . "I think the chicken parmesan pasta" , "yea me too it looks good" he replied .

"Are you guys ready to order" The waiter asked . "Yea , we will both have the chicken parmesan past" Jas said . "Alrighty" she responded and grabbed the menus , walking off .

"So how you been?" Jas asked . "I've been good .. I work at the hospital as a nurse" I said to him . "Thats good" he responded . "Thanks .. so where do you work?" I asked him . "Thats a topic for another time ma .." he said to me . "Oh" I responded . "You understand right?" He asked me . "Yea , I understand" .

Our food came out and we ate as we continued to talk .. He admitted his feelings for me that he had before I left Cali , and he told me that they came back the day he saw me ... Samething with me , Im really feeling Jas ..

"Ready to go" he asked me . "Yea" I said . We left and got into the car . We drove off heading to my house ..

We pulled up to my house and he cut the car off then looked at me . "I had a good time with you Lani" he said to me . "I had a good time to" I said smiling .

He leaned over and so did I . Soon our lips met causing a feeling to rush through my body , A feeling that I loved . He swiped his tongue across my lips asking for entrance and I gladly let him In .

I pulled away and bit my lip . "Ill see you later" I said smiling . "Alright bye baby" He smiling showing his deep dimples and pretty white teeth . I got out the car and went inside my house .

Tonight Im going to sleep with one person on my mind .... Jas
