16. A dress

Areum's P.O.V

Eunwoo: I'm sorry I can't go get you that dress today. Something came up.

Me: It's fine. I'll ask Mi Young. Thank you.

Eunwoo: I'm really sorry.

Me: Don't worry about it. It's fine, really.

Eunwoo: Okay. I'll see you tomorrow.

I messaged and called Mi Young, but she didn't answer. She must be busy.

A message entered my phone. It was Jinwoo.

Jinwoo: Hello.

Me: Hi.

Jinwoo: Are you doing anything today?

Me: Well I was supposed to go dress shopping with Mi Young but she won't answer. But other than that, no.

Jinwoo: Would you like me to take you instead?

Me: I don't want to bother you.

Jinwoo: No, it'll be fun. I'll be there at 3. Does that sound good?

Me: Yeah sure. Thank you.

Jinwoo: No problem. I'll see you soon.

Jinwoo and I arrived at a dress store and we looked around a bit.

"What color do you like?" he asked me.

"Any," I replied.

"This is going to be hard," he said. "Any color would look good on you."

"Well, I do like pink," I suggested.

"Perfect," he said, picking one out. It was a short light pink dress, and the top had a lace pattern. It was a decent one.

"You like it?" he asked.

"Yes, it's pretty," I said.

"Try it on," he said.

Jinwoo's P.O.V

"I'm coming out," Areum called out.

"Okay," I said.

She stepped out of the dressing room. She looked so stunning. I've always seen her in a school uniform, but seeing her in such a dress changed my point of view.

"Does it look okay?" she asked.

"Y-yes," I stuttered. She looked too good.

"I think I'll take this one," she said.

"You look so pretty," I muttered.

"What?" she asked.

"It's pretty," I said, covering the other statement.

"Okay, I'm going to change," she said, going back into the dressing room.

"Thanks for taking me," she said.

"No problem," I said. "If anything, it was a pleasure."

"Thank you," she said. She started to go inside before I stopped her.

"Areum," I said, and she looked at me.

"Go to the formal with me," I said.

"Be your date?" she questioned.
