Name: Rasheen Perpetua (Ruh-sheen Per-pe-chew-uh)
Age: Twenty
Gender: Male
Physical Appearance: Rasheen accentuates some of the most common, yet alluring, features of his mixed races. From his Pakistani mother, he receives the darkest shade of curly hair and thick eyebrows; like her, he has deep hazel eyes that seem to lighten and darken in different lighting, but will remain a constant color. From his Aztecan father, he garners a narrow nose that rests comfortably above well-sized lips. Rasheen also inherits a killer jawline, which even he swoons over at times. From them both, he gets his clay colored skin tone. He stands at six feet, two inches tall; however, he seems lengthier due to his lean figure. His stature could almost be called scrawny had it not been for average biceps and strong calve muscles. Overall, he's a good looking and healthy kid.
Personality: In the simplest of manners, Rasheen is human. Perhaps a more compassionate and motivated person, but human all the same. He's always been benevolent and understanding since he was a kid: he grew up in a diverse place, after all, and had to learn how to adapt to any given person, place, or situation. No matter the case, though, he has and is an accepting person. He is kind in times which nicety has been said to be rare, intelligent in occasions that only morons surpass, and supportive in moments of difficult decision making. Rasheen is grace in the flesh, in the eyes of many - especially his.
Background: Born into a small and quiet family of two, Rasheen has been quite a ruckus. He never had siblings, and the few amount of cousins he has lived far too much away to ever visit periodically. His parents, though nurturing and understanding, weren't enough for him in the societal extent, and he therefore spread his tiny, five-year-old wings. He found refuge in his neighbors: boisterous boys and girls that lived for adrenaline since they were born. He and a select few created a "gang" of sorts in their early years, kindergarten and a bit onwards. They would cause mayhem on the playground and force bullies to eat dirt if they made any comments about the group. As the gang got older, though hardly more mature, their reign of terror expanded; they were tyrants in the making. And when middle school came along, they were the "in group". They practically created the popular clique cliché with their methods of obtaining friends and power alike. He was the mastermind behind all of their schemes: detailing directions as to how sneak out during the night, sketching maps for the perfect hideout in the woods, and outlining plans for sleuthing inside private or abandoned properties. They were unbreakable, until high school.
Noticing that everyone had their own thing, Rasheen decided to find his. He found it quickly when someone commented on his height and asked if he ran, and if he didn't, he should definitely do it. So he did. He tried out for cross country and made the team due to his stamina. Come track and field season, however, his luck ran out - he is still far too slow. Those four years on cross country and in other clubs - such as photography, gardening, and feminism - along with his regular schooling flew by quickly, and soon he was off to college to study environmental science.
Currently, Rasheed is university sophomore working on two master's degrees for his double-majors: environmental science and human geography. For now, he has decided to leave his minor in psychology with theological branches alone, but he will pick up on it once he's done doing work and research for either of his majors. Aside from school, he's a part of the school's cross country team, a manager at a local frozen yogurt shop, and an active protester.
Strengths: What he lacks in speed, he makes up for in stamina. He was on his high school's cross country team since freshman year, and he continues to enjoy the sport to this day. And due to all of the team-building exercises incorporated into the sport, he has a way with people; they seem to throw themselves at him sometimes, and he has never been ungrateful for the amount of contacts he has. Rasheen wears his heart and emotions out on his sleeve because of the communities he has associated himself with as well; people know he has the best intentions and the purest motivation, and could therefore never be purposefully deceitful.
Weaknesses: Despite his height, he has never been the fastest of runners. As a kid, this lead to many, many police encounters after sneaking into private properties and being unable to run away. He doesn't have the best hearing ability, either. However, he does have a hearing aid - he simply forgets to wear it on occasion. Rasheen also cannot stay quiet in times of dissent or conflict because of who he is as a person. It's not that he likes being heard, per se, but more to the extent that he believes his opinion to be the one to shine a new light on said controversy; this has created situations involving physical violence more than once.
Other: Rasheen is a vegetarian and an atheist.
