Physical Appearance: At first glance, Pineapple's hair seems more than a bit peculiar. Due to his Chinese heritage (though after a few generations, laced with American), it was originally black, but the hair has been dyed yellow and green shades and shaved in diagonal lines in order to recreate the design of a pineapple. A solid pair of glasses rest upon Pineapple's nose, aiding his poor vision. Dark brown eyes twinkle behind the lenses, the shade almost as dark as his pupils. Clothes just a tad too big for Pineapple seem to make his thinness even more pronounced, and lacking in the height department certainly doesn't make Pineapple seem intimidating. But that's alright with him- Pineapple's confident with who he is.
Personality: The first word that usually comes to mind when describing Pineapple is quirky. From his unorthodox hairstyles to the strangest things ticking him off, Pineapple isn't just another normal person. Almost always seen with a smile, he presents himself as a happy-go-lucky figure, even when he doesn't quite feel that way inside. Pineapple likes to be there for people, offering kindness, and finds friends easily (typically by way of hair admirers). He carries himself with a carefree attitude, unafraid to show who he is to the world. He believes he can be whoever he wants to be, and nothing can stop him. Competitions invigorate Pineapple, and without them he'd have far less motivation.
Background: It was at age eight when Bōluó developed his pineapple obsession. After tasting it for the first time, the enticing fruit captured him in its trap. Bōluó researched everything about the fruit he could possibly find, developing a strange obsession. He asked his parents to fill the house with pineapples, and ate them with every meal. All his clothes were replaced with pineapple-themed attire. The fruit was painted along the walls of his room, and everything modeled after it. The Wen house became a pineapple shrine. When Bōluó was ten, everyone officially began calling him "Pineapple". At age sixteen, after years of pineapple adoration, Pineapple dyed his hair to match the fruit, and is slowly becoming more and more like his idolized fruit. At university, a pineapple is always found amongst his books and papers inside the bag he carries, and a secret stash of about a dozen of the fruit is hidden under his bed. Of course, his obsession is a secret from his friends, excluding his physical appearance- the pineapple is Pineapple's, and only Pineapple's.
Strengths: Social skills. Pineapple can be both a friend and distance himself from people. He likes to be friendly and help others, but will always devote himself to the pineapple in the end. Additionally, after countless years of pineapple research and learning every detail about them, Pineapple has become quite adept at finding and absorbing new information. He is good at both harboring secrets within him and connecting to others through his passions. Pineapple does not lie, yet often downplays wrongdoings and his pineapple obsession.
Weaknesses: Pineapples. Pineapple will go to any length to protect a pineapple, eat a pineapple, or even worship a pineapple. He will put the needs of the pineapple before his own, which can sometimes result in consequences for him; Pineapple takes the fruit very seriously and has gone to extreme measures for it. Additionally, he is very easily provoked- if he hears even a whispered negativity concerning his beloved fruit, Pineapple is known to attack physically. He often thinks he possesses more strength than he actually does. Every so often, Pineapple has an incident of depression where he feels like nobody understands him, which tends to distract him from more important things and results in additional time spent with his pineapples.
