“Okay, so do you want the purple case or the yellow case?” Jay asks me for the hundredth time.
“I already told you I don’t care!” I shout at them. Jay throws the yellow case down on the counter and I think we’re finally done at the apple store. I didn’t even know people this annoying existed! “Are we done now?” I wine.
“Yes, we’re finally done. Here,” Nathan hands me my new phone.
“Guys, you really didn’t have to get all this stuff for me. I can at least carry the bags since you paid for it all.” They shrug off my comments and continue walking out of the mall. “Wait!” They stop and look at me. “I need one more thing…”
“What?” Max asks.
“Um… just give me 30 bucks and I’ll run into the drugstore quickly.” They grin at me, realizing what I’m talking about.
“Oh, that kind of stuff.” Nathan laughs.
“Fine then. I’ll just have to bleed all over your floor again, but this time from my lower area.” They all say ‘ew’ at the same time and hand me 30 dollars. I skip away into the drugstore, get the stuff I need, and go back to the boys. “Here’s your change.” I give them the extra money and grab one of the bags out of Tom’s hand.
“What are you doing?” He asks and I dig through the bag, finally pulling out a black hoodie. I shove the bag back into his hands and take the bag with my converse from Jay, then pull my black ones out. I take off the shoes I’m wearing now and throw them in the garbage. I slip on the new pair and then put on the sweater.
“Why the hell would you put on a sweater? It’s bloody 100 degrees outside!” Tom says. I shrug my shoulders.
“So what do you think of your first phone?” Nathan asks me as we walk out of the mall. I nod my head. “Will you ever actually talk? All you do is shrug, nod, and shake your head.” I shrug my shoulders making him groan. “Well, are you looking forward to the concert tonight?”
“Do I have to go?” I pout.
“Wow. That makes us feel so good.” Jay says dramatically.
“You are not staying at the bus by yourself after what you did last night.” Nathan says.
“Oh calm down. That happens all the time.” I say casually and they all look at me with shocked expressions. “What?” They still stare at me. “Can I please not go to the concert? I just want to sleep; it’s been a very tiring day.” I beg.
“Nath just let her stay in the bus. It’s not like she has anything to cut with and it’s not like she’ll just run off and kill herself.” Siva says.
Nathan rolls his eyes then mumbles: “Fine. But if she’s dead when we get back I’m blaming you.” Soon after we arrive at the tour bus. I run into it and fall onto a bed, then snake under the covers. My eyes are already heavy and I’m soon sound asleep.
Nathan’s POV
“She’s so cute when she’s sleeping. She doesn’t look as sad.” I smile as I watch Air’s steady breathing.
“So when are you going to tell her you think you’re madly in love with her?” Tom teases me.
“I’m not madly in love with her.” I say, my cheeks burning. “Do we have to leave her alone?”
“Nath, calm down. She’s going to be okay, look at her. Safe and sound.” Siva says. “C’mon we have to go.” Tom pulls me out of the bus and to the concert.
We ait back stage and a group of girls come up to us with V.I.P. tickets in their hands. I recognize the fake tan and fake hair… Hey, I think I know how we can cheer Air up.
