I Need Your Love (Nathan Sykes fanfic)

Chapter 7- Such a Jerk...

I go to the cafeteria and find the boys eating. I wipe my eyes and sit beside them. “What happened Air?” Max asks me concerned.

“I don’t know! After you guys left Nathan wanted to kiss me but I just…. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Nathan is a great guy and he likes me, so I don’t get why,” I’m so confused right now. Why did I do that? Why couldn’t I just let him kiss me?

“Well maybe you just don’t want to fall in love with someone and they leave you. Maybe you’ve just been hurt to many times.” Siva says.

“But I do want to fall in love. I don’t want to be alone, and I really like Nathan. I just don’t get why…  I mean, I was the one who kissed him first.” God, why does my brain have to be so complicated? “What should I do?”

“Well you don’t have much time to think because,” Max says and points behind me. I turn around to see Nathan walking towards us wearing his normal clothes. Once he gets to the table he sits beside Max so he’s across from me.

“Hey,” he says. We all sit there in awkward silence.

“So how are you feeling?” Siva asks Nathan trying to break the silence.

“Fine, I’m not really soar just num. The doctors said I can go home whenever I want but I can’t perform today. So looks like the press are going to know.” Nathan replies.

“I thought you were supposed to get out tomorrow.” I say and he finally looks at me.

“Wow, I didn’t think you would want to talk to me.” Nathan says to me rudely.

“Okay, what’s your problem?” I ask him.

“Oh I don’t know. Maybe it’s how you decided to kill yourself AGAIN and then I saved you, getting hit myself and you haven’t even thanked me yet. And how about how you decided to kiss me but then when I tried to kiss you I was suddenly a horrible person! I don’t get what your problem is, one second you like me and the next you’re running away from me! Make up your stupid mind!” He yells at me.

“Fine I will!” I yell back at him and stand up from the table. “Happy now?” I say before storming out of the stupid hospital. I remember Rain slipping me her phone number so I call her. One… two… three… four… five rings. I call again and on the third ring she finally picks up.

“Hello?” She says panting and I laugh.

“Hey Rain, did I interrupt something?” I smile as I say.

“Yes Air, you did. So make this quick.” She says eagerly.

“I was wondering if you needed a babysitter for Calum?” I ask her. Calum is her son; he’s 5 I think now and the cutest little thing ever. I will admit she is a little bit of a slut, but it’s only because she had to strip to raise her son since she had him at 16.

“Um, yes why?” She questions me.

“Well, I need a place to stay. And I was wondering,” She cuts me off.

“Of course you can stay with me babe. My live in apartment 7, in Courtship Apartments (A/N- THIS IS A FAKE ADRESS!!!)” She says.

“Okay thanks. But how will I get in?” I ask laughing.

“Oh the nanny will let you in. Just say you’re the new nanny and they’ll leave. They don’t really like me.” She hangs up so I put my phone in my pocket and get a cab to take me to her apartment.

It’s a pretty small place but she does work at a bar… but it’s more of a club. I walk up the steps to apartment 7 and knock on the door. It soon swings open and I see a girl who looks to be in her thirty’s with Calum in her arms. “Oh my god Calum! You’re so big!” I say to him. “I’m the new nanny so scoot.” I say to her and she hands me Calum then rushes away. “Do you remember me?” I ask him and he nods. “Good.” I whisper before going into the apartment, closing the door behind me.

My phone starts ringing so I put Calum down and answer it. “Air?” Max says panicking.

“What do you want?” I ask.

“I’m hungy!” Calum whines.

“Look I’m really busy so,” Max cuts me off.

“Where the hell are you? Nathan thinks that you ran off and are trying to kill yourself. He’s absolutely mad right now.”

“What? I’m not trying to kill myself. I’m at my friend Rain’s house. I’m her new nanny.” I say smiling down at Calum. He is so cute!

“Oh, okay. Well can we come over?” He asks me and I’m shocked. Right at that moment Rain comes in with Jay, and you can tell they have been ‘busy’.

“Who are you talking to?” Jay slurs.

“Well Jay’s kind of drunk anyway and needs to be taken back so, sure. I don’t care. I’ll text you the address.” And with that I hang up then send him Rain’s address.

“Why are you here and not with the boys?” Jay questions me.

“Because Rain needs a nanny.” I answer picking up Calum. Rain glares at me.

“Nanny? Wait you have a kid?” Jay is now looking at Rain.

“I, ah. Yea… His name is Calum, and he’s 5.” She takes Calum out of my arms.

“So you’re like what,” Jay starts.

“21.” She says ashamed. The knock at the door ends their conversation. She opens the door and Max, Siva, Tom, and Nathan are standing there.

“How are you guys here already?” They ignore me and walk into Rain’s apartment.

So I don’t have much of a note or any ‘announcements’ today so I’ll just get straight to the point…
