As I wake up I notice the fact that my whole body feels paralyzed, even my eyes. It takes me about a minute to open them. My vision is blurred so all I can see are the outlines of people’s bodies, but I can still hear perfectly. “I’m sorry Mr. Sykes. There’s nothing I can do.” One blur says.

“What do you mean there’s nothing you can do? You’re supposed to be a doctor!” A voice, Nathan, shouts at the blur, which I assume is the doctor. Wait, DOCTOR!?! Where am I? Well, idiot, you’re obviously at a hospital, a voice nags me in the back of my mind.

“Look, the blood poising is to strong. We’ve tried everything, but none of it has worked.” The doctor replies to Nathan. “She will be up soon, and should be able to leave tomorrow.”

“So you’re telling me to just take her home and die?” My vision finally comes into focus and I open my dry mouth to speak.

“Where am I?” My voice croaks. Nathan and the doctor’s heads snap to my direction.

“Air! Oh my god, it’s so good to hear your voice.” Nathan rushes over to me. I clear my throat and speak again:

“Where am I?”

“Well, you’re um, kind of in London. We called off the tour when you were brought to the hospital in America. I asked them if we could bring you to England and have you stay in the hospital there, they agreed, since they didn’t know how to fix you.” Nathan answers.

“Where’s Rain, and the boys?”

“Well Rain and Calum live with Jay, Tom and Kelsey live together, Siva and Nareesha live together, and Max is crashing on Tom’s couch right now.”

“So where am I going to stay now?”

He pause then takes in a deep breath. “With me.”

“What!?! No, oh no no no no no no NO!”

“Ariana, please calm down. It will only make things worse.” The doctor says.

“Well you obviously don’t care if you’re just going to let her die!” Nathan screams at him.

“Mr. Sykes, the blood poisoning has been there for far too long.” He responds patiently.

“What’s blood poising?” I ask. See kids this is why you stay in school.

“It means the blood has been infected with bacteria. And if left untreated, more bacteria will get in the wound and it'll get more infected; if it gets bad enough the body can't fight against it all and the person will continue to get sicker. This means, since you have had it for so long, there is nothing we can do anymore. All I can suggest is that you first stop with the self-harming, and then to just rest for a few months. You can come in for some check-ups and we’ll see if you’re doing any better. Also, Mr. Sykes, I suggest that you put Ariana into a mental hospital, since the reason you brought her to the hospital in the first place was because of her issues.” Nathan looked as though he wanted to punch the doctor out cold, but before he had the chance the doctor rushed away.

“Are you sure he’s a professional doctor?” I question Nathan and he smiles, but then it disappears.

“Look, I know you hate me and all, but can you please just live with me? Just until you get better, then you can go and you never have to talk to me again.” He begs.

“Well according to the doctor I don’t have much of a choice. But whatever, I’ll get what I always wanted.” I respond carelessly.

“Please don’t say that.” He sits down next to me on the all-white, sterile bed that smells of bleach.

My fingers start to fiddle with his hair. “I’m tired Nathy.”

“Well then get some rest.” He starts to walk off but I grab his hand.

“Can you, um… Can you stay with me?” He nods his head slightly then lies down beside me. I nuzzle my head into his chest and fall asleep.

I slowly wake up, able to move my body but I still ache all over. I hear Nathan quietly snore beside me and push my body closer to his. I feel his chest move up and down as he breaths. I wish I didn’t hate him. I don’t necessarily hate him, only part of me does. The other half is telling me to kiss Nathan, and forgive him. But I know I can’t do that, it would be wrong. He cheated on me when I needed him most, and I will never forget that.

Nathan’s eyelids flutter open revealing his beautiful sea green eyes. He smiles at me, then starts to lean closer but I push him away. “Right, sorry.” He whispers, and gets up from the bed. “You hungry? I can get you something.”

I shake my head. “No thanks, I just want to go ho-” I stop. “I just want to get out of this hospital.”

“Okay well I’m going to go get some breakfast.” He starts to slowly leave the room.

“Nathy, what happened? Before I came to the hospital?” I ask him.

“Well, you thought that your life was the complete opposite of what it is now. You didn’t know who Rain and I were. You thought we were trying to kidnap you.” I laugh at my stupidity. “I don’t mean to sound rude but, how long were you in school?”

I hesitate. “My step dad pulled me out when people started to notice my marks. That was when I was like 11.” I say, unconvincingly. I am not a good liar.

“Love, you can tell me the truth.” He sits on the bed, gets me to sit up then sets me on his lap.

“Well, I did get pulled out. But for other reasons.” I look down ashamed.

“Hey,” He lifts up my chin. “You can tell me.”

“No, no I can’t. You’ll hate me. You’ll be disgusted, but I mean I was only 11, I, I didn’t know what else to do!” I start to sob and Nathan rubs my back.

“Don’t worry, I won’t be disgusted.” He says and I inhale a deep breath before telling him.

CLIFF HANGER!!! Haha, so am I the only one that hates that stupid doctor? I mean really… by the way I’m not an expert on blood poisoning so if I get some facts wrong don’t hate me, I’m doing my best.

I hope you enjoyed.
