“Dad?” The little girl who still loves her father says inside of me. Everyone looks at me, confused. “Is your last name Grahm by any chance?” I know it’s him, it has to be.
“Um yes.” He says clearly un comfortable.
“Did you leave your daughter and wife for your daughter’s whore of a teacher?” I ask, getting angry at the memory.
“I-I don’t feel comfortable answering that.” He starts stuttering.
“Really? You can’t just answer the fucking question!?” A girl comes out of a room.
“Excuse me miss, that is no way to talk to someone.” And I recognize her to.
“Hey, you’re that little slut that stole my dad away from me!” I try to hit her, but Tom pulls me back, while Jay tries to calm me down. “I know I’m not crazy, I- I know who they are. You probably don’t recognize me though because you both were to bust feeling each other up to take care of me!” I yell through gritted teeth. “You left my mom to suffer! It’s partially your fault she died! If you hadn’t had left she wouldn’t have met Mike, and then she wouldn’t have got into drugs!” I start to cry at the thought of her.
“Amelia died?” My mother’s name was Amelia, and the only one who knew that was my dad, Mike, and me. “I had no idea,”
“Yes, she did. And you know why she died? Because of you, and the guy who made us come here. Who came to you saying that we… whatever. But he’s the one that came to us, and he started harassing us. Sure, we fought back, purely in defence; we wouldn’t just track him down and try to kill him.” I thinks for a second before responding.
“Okay, go. But this is just because of what happened to Amelia.” The boys start smiling and drag me out.
“Well that's one less thing to worry about.” Max laughs. I feel like they don’t understand what just happened.
“Yea, now we don’t have to explain why Nathan went to jail to the paps.” Tom says.
“Why would I go to jail?” Nathan asks.
“Because you’re the one that had a gun. If they did fingerprints… you’d be in so much trouble.” Siva explains, and Nathan nods understanding.
“So we’ll take you back to school?” Max asks me. I shake my head; I am not going back there, ever. “You kind of have to go.” He pushes.
“No, everyone there hates me.” I reply.
“And how did you come to that conclusion?” Jay asks smirking.
“Because they we’re encouraging me to kill myself.” I say blankly.
“Are you sure you didn’t misunderstand.” Nathan says, great now even the boys believe I’m crazy.
“I’m sure.” I say, getting a little annoyed. “Actually, it started when Stephanie noticed the bruise on my neck, and some smart ass said ‘she probably tried to hang herself and failed, what a shame’. Then someone else said ‘you should try drinking bleach some time, instead’ and then another person said ‘I have some at my house if you want me to bring any’. Or something along those lines.”
“I didn’t know that left bruises.” Tom says while everyone else stays quiet.
“Yea, there are three.” I say.
“Wait, three? But I thought…” Jay says puzzled.
“The one on my neck from when he chocked me, the one on my side from when he kicked me, and then one on my spine from, well it doesn’t matter.” I say trying to avoid the situation.
“What’s the third one from?” Siva questions.
“When Nathan pushed me.” I whisper so no one can hear.
“What?” Nathan asks.
“From when you pushed me.” I say a little louder.
“Yea, it definitely would’ve been Nathan who went to jail.” Max confirms.
“That’s really not funny.” Nathan says before getting in his car and leaving.
“Well then, someone’s cranky…” Jay says and Siva laughs. “We better get you to school.” Instead of arguing I get into the car and let them drop me off.
I say my goodbyes then watch them drive off before running away from the school. After far enough away I start to walk, and continue down the street. I feel like someone’s watching me, but shrug off the idea.
All of the sudden someone’s hand covers my mouth, while their arm is around my neck in a choke hold. They drag me into any ally and turn me around to face them. “Hello Ariana.” Mike snarls. “I thought I told you to keep your mouth shut about what happened.” He pulls me until we reach a car and he throws me inside it, then gets in and starts driving.
I silently reach into my pocket, and try to send a message to someone. “Do you really want to do that? I’ve heard the stories, and if I were you I’d rather be with me then those English boys.” Mike says. I put my phone away, but not before I send a quick message to Jay.
To: Jay
You’re the only one I can truly trust, don’t send me any messages. I’ll call you later, if I have the chance. I really hope he gets what I was saying. I stay quiet the whole ride and once we arrive he comes over to me and shoves a gag in my mouth and throws me over his shoulder.
He opens a door then throws me down to the ground, which turns out to be cement. I feel my already bruised back start to bleed. He drags me over to a chair and ties my hands and feet around it so I can’t move.
“Don’t worry, this isn’t going to be how you’ll stay forever. I’ll even take the gag out so we can have a little chit chat.” He snarls before removing the gag. “Any questions?”
“Where are we?” I ask and he just laughs at me. “Why’d you take me? Wait, no I know the answer to that.” I think. “What do you want from me? I mean, I know that you took me because you hate me and want me to suffer, but you wouldn’t just keep trying so hard to get me for no reason.”
“Firstly, I’m going to take you back to America. Where those British pricks won’t be able to get you. And then, you’re going to work for me.” He smirks.
“What kind of work?”
“You know what kind. I booked us a flight back home for tonight, so you better start packing.” He laughs before shoving the gag back in my mouth and walking off.
