Part 6

Hay Nicomaine, bakit weakness mo pa ang family mo?

Here she was, packing her stuff to get ready for her move to the old apartment she used to live in, when she saw a picture of herself when she was 4 years old, with her best friend 7 year old RJ(Alden).

Oh, how she missed those  days when she wasn't really forced to do anything.

She held the picture in her hands remembering clearly, that the picture was taken on her 4th birthday on the stage.

She was sitting in her chair, when her best friend RJ called her and played some games with her along with some of their childhood friends.

Maine's Tita Rosario, whom she also calls Mama Rosa and is also Alden's mom, called them and told them to have a picture taken.

That was when the picture was taken.

Despite having a three year age-gap, Maine wasn't used to calling Alden "kuya".

She even remembered that she used to call Alden, RJ.

But now things have changed.

He wasn't her best friend anymore and she wasn't his. He was her EX and she was his.

She put down the picture when her siblings came in.

"Huy, bakit ka nag-iimpake? Lalayas ka?" Ate Niki, the eldest of the siblings asked with a joking tone.

Maine's face was filled with curiosity because of her sister's question

"Hala! Hindi pa ba nasabi ni Nanay sa inyo?" She asked in a questionable manner.

"Ang alin?" Niki asked her sister.
