Dean's pov
"Can I go out?" I asked Ariel, standing in the door frame.
"With who?" She asked me, looking away from the TV.
"Persephone." I lied.
"Be back by 9."

I sat on the park bench, looking around nervously.
It was still very bright outside and there were a couple kids playing on the play structure.
I wrapped my sweater tighter around me, trying to hide from the breeze.
I pulled my phone out of my pocket, checking the time.
5 minutes to 6.
I looked around again, setting my phone down on my thigh.
"You seem nervous."
I jumped, my head snapping to the side where the voice had come from. "I'm not." I defended myself, shoving my hands in my pockets.
Cook sat down next to me, leaning back with arms stretched across the back of the bench.
Silence fell over us, I didn't know what to say, and Cook didn't say anything for about 3 minutes.
"Let's go somewhere." Cook stood up suddenly, holding out his hand towards me.
"Where?" I asked, staring at his hand.
"It's a surprise." He said. "Live a little Dean."
I sighed, avoiding his stare. "Fine." I grabbed his outstretched hand.

"Will you tell me where we're going?" I asked, stumbling over my feet.
He didn't answer me, he just pretended that he didn't hear me.
We turned the corner, and that's when he started to slow down.
"We're going there." He pointed to a small house on the right side of the street.
He didn't give me a chance to get out of it, he dragged me across the street and up to the door of the small house.
It looked pretty nice on the outside, with light blue siding and a couple different plants were planted outside.
The inside was another story. The walls were stained and the paint was peeling in different spots, the floor had deep scratches dug in, and everything smelt like cigarette smoke.
A girl was sitting on the couch in the living room. I didn't see much of her. I saw the long brown hair and the olive coloured skin, that was it.
She opened her eyes and looked over at us. Her lips pulled into a smile when she saw Cook. Then her eyes landed on me.
"Who's this?" She asked, looking me up and down.
"This is Dean." Cook introduced me. "Dean. This is my sister Alexis."
